Biggest Fence I Have Ever Seen

This is by far the most intimidating and impenetrable fence I have ever come across.

41593.jpg (43 kb, 450x377)

Around 14 feet high, absolutely seamless, continuous anti-dig footing, and top 7 feet fabricated of anti-climb mesh. This thing is so big and well constructed that it doesn't even need to be topped with barbed wire.

I don't think that there is anyway to ever get in without permission. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Forgot to add picture.

Came across this site recently while on vacation in Florida.
This is an open thread though so I don't think I'm going to go beyond that.

I can assure you though you would never find this on privatly owned land anywhere in Canada. This thing must have cost a fortune to build, you can't truely appreciate it's size and quality until you are up against it.

Spent all of 45 minutes trying to scout a way in, all to no avail.

1) Bring a really, really tall folding ladder

2) Get permission

3) Pirate and/or ninja skills

Good luck. Is that a jail?

yep.

No it's privately owned.
Think Florida coastline, rich people... many yatchs and private villas... obviously with way too much money comes paranoia.

I see. So, if I went back into my 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' beta collection, would I recognize this fence?

And does it guard someplace which is abandoned?

yep.

It protects an "appropriated" island which was open to the public last year. Now all the land within has been purchased by a developer, I am assuming a nice Par 3 Executive course and gated community are coming soon!

It is a shame that the huge fence has gone up first, as there were a few abandoned buildings within that were of interest to me, something to do with processing and shipping oranges I believe.

There was a big factory building, and a few smaller outbuildings along with a warehouse.

If you're desperate, try a little breaking and entering. Bolt cutters, a hacksaw or an oxy/acetylene rig can get through just about anything, but they leave a mess.

A hacksaw would not work, the spacing of the mesh would not allow it.
An oxy/acetylene torch would definitely work, but transporting it out there would be a nightmare.

And the only option I had thought that would work was bolt cutters, except for the fact I would be there for well over 45 minutes. The mesh on the lower portion is 2" square spacing of what looked like 8 Guage (from my knowledge of piercings) steel. The thing doesnt feel like a fence at all, more like a wall.

Oh yea and the spacing of the top portion is less that 1/2", tight enough that my fingers couldn't fit. Does anyone know of some sort or gear that would allow me to get handholds, then I could just climb over. I was thinking that this might have been a very practical situation for carrying a grappling hook.

You could use something like this.

http://search.ebay.com/Escape-Ladder

Toss it up. Then at the top flip it over to climb down the other side. You might have to modify it somehow to be able to retrieve it from the bottom though, and it would probably make a racket trying to get it hooked on. You could silence it but it would be a lot of work.

You could pull out the old ice climbing gear...

I'm sure those would be small/strong enough to work

You could always try bending some rebars into small steps. You could also make a hook with a rebar and get a rope and throw some alpine butterfly knots on it

No one asked me, but I'm going to try making two later. See how they turn out, and what the load limits are on them.

as far as field-testing goes, i'm wondering if the 90 deg. angle of the hook won't impede things as you try to unlatch them from the fence, ascending.
