| | | I've never been up against a fence with with anti-climb mesh.. but from the picture it seems like maybe it could be done with a couple of good hooks and some really grippy shoes?

Use pair 1 as normal on your feet. Use pair two as hooks to climb for your hands. Possible?

I'd see that as extremely effective.. not to mention you could more then likely rig up something in place of buying things..

| | | I have not read all the posts, just the first page cause right now i don't have time. But digging occurred to me. and so did a pair of hammers. Use the claws like ice axes and climb like an ice wall. If you can't use bolt cutters, get a crow bar and work a few wires out. Then cut and repeat. What do satellite photos indicate of what is inside? Seems to me to be some type of military installation.

| | | Welllll...... You could read the post...... But basically weve covered digging in all variations, alternatives to hammers have been suggested (btw do you really want to have to hold something vertical? horizontal would be much easier). The not-cutting is more an ethics and a TRY NOT TO MAKE IT THAT FRIKING OBVIOUS deal then an "ooh its to hard for me". And Im not telling you whats inside. Read the thread. My advice: Never let on you didn't read the thread AND dont assume you have anything useful to say if you didn't. Please flame me via pm so as not inspire this thread to further life.

| | | Well, at least this one is still pretty much on topic. And I still contend that this fence would have some sort of system to detect climbing/grappling.

| | | Um, how opened is the area around the fence? If the terrain is as flat as the areas of FL I've been to, you will be very visible 14' up. Do they have 24-hour security? Is that a dirt road running along the inside of the fence? And if so, watch footprints or debris on the inside near the base of the fence. Could try to bluff your way in during construction. Shear number of contractors on a big site make it easy if you can talk a little fast.

Agreed.. Social engineering would definitely be the easiest way to access the site during the day. If you have your heart set on night exploration, I reiterate that g-hook (or straight rope) would help out the climb a lot.

| | | Well if you want an excuse, just play football near it, and have someone "accidentally" throw the football over the fence....don't know how well that would work, haven't done that since I was 12.. [last edit 2/27/2006 4:18 PM by res_novae - edited 1 times]

| | | A problem with the crampons would be that the metal spikes will not fit through the top 1/2 of the fence, it's designed that fingers will not fit through so the spikes on crampons wouldn't either. Possibly have one person climb tot he top of the bottom half and have another stand on his shoulders and reach the top, then just human ladder. (daunting and requires training but very possible) If there is a will (or wall) there is a way (over). [last edit 3/13/2006 10:44 PM by Imperion - edited 1 times]

| | | I know this thing has been forgotten for a while but is there any news on this? Also I thought this should be mentioned, while I was looking around online at security fencing I found a site with this EXACT photo of the fence. For this reason I am starting to doubt the story behind this post about finding this fence and now wonder if the poster found the photo online just as I did. Here is the link to where I found the photo, I wasn't even thinking about UE or this thread and the picture immediately jogged my memory...

Oh yeah, not to mention that this website says the fence is in PA and not FL, I think I smell bullshit. [last edit 8/31/2006 5:28 PM by Olaf - edited 1 times]

| | | I have your solution. Dig a hole like this right up next to the fence: Top View:
Side View:
Than, what you need to do is, get a 15 foot pole, run from about 7 steps, plant the tip in the hole, jump, swing up with your right knee while keeping your right arm straight, go parallel with the pole, push down on it and rotate your body. Fool proof. [last edit 9/15/2006 8:07 AM by Chronos - edited 1 times]
