| | | They make small backpack oxy/acetylene rigs. Like in that Riddick movie, Pitch Black. I've been meaning to buy one, but I'm short on cash (and a job) right now. They sell a hacksaw that is just a straight handle that you can clamp a blade in,eliminating the bow of a traditional hacksaw.

| | | I just watched the movie The Score and in it Robert De Niro uses some interesting tools to climb a fence, mainly a carabiner with a loop atached to it for a footing, and using Carabiners to hold on to, he was climbing a fence with 1 inch square holes in it. Conundrum

| | | PLAN ONE Step one: Throw rope over fence. Step two: Pull rope back through lowest hole using a wire and tie it to the fence. Step three: Pull yourself up the rope, grab hold of top of fence, and throw legs over. PLAN TWO Step one: Take off shoes. Step two: Stick toes between gaps and climb. Step three: Grab hold of top of fence, throw legs over and repeat. PLAN THREE Step one: Buy hundreds of dollars worth of steel, oxy-acetalyne kits and welding masks. Step two: Spend countless hours brainstorming, testing and workshopping abhorrently ugly, heavy and bulky pieces of equipment that aid in climbing this particular fence. Step three: Realise that once you're on the opposite side of the fence, there's nothing left to explore.

| | | Doesn't sound any worse than what I went over to get into a prison here. http://www.wraiths.org/alouette.htm 15-20', the bottom 3/4 is a tight grid you can only squeeze one finger into, then the top section the grid gets twice as tight and no way to get even a finger in to grip. A grappling hook up should have no problem hooking at the top of the fence and up you go...

| | | There's no possible way to get in through the gate? Do it like Hitman 2, wait around until someone comes to deliver flowers. Knock out the flower delivery guy (or kill him, your discretion), take his clothes and flowers, and go into the complex in disguise. Just be sure not to have any weapons on you when you try to go in the gate! Seriously though, maybe there's an easy way in. Either in disguise or maybe kayak? You said it was a yacht club, right? Maybe you can sneak in by boat. If you do want to cut a whole in that fence, try thermite. Its easy to find instructions online or some anarchist wanna-be who read about it in the Cookbook and will make some up for you. Either way, theres a way to make it so it sets in a line, attach it to the fence, and light that fucker. Burns hot enough to break through metal, as long as it burns up the line right, you'll have a nice slit for your entry. Least thats what a kid I know (who was out of his mind and dangerously smart) advised me to do for a fence like that up here. I never tried it though.

| | | I think when I go back the easiest way will be just to use a grapling hook with some static climbing line, and I'll bring my ascenders just to make it like "walking" up the wall. Piece of cake. By the way a water entry would not be possible as the marina is the most completed part of the entire project. See attached ariel map.
The land entry at this point seems to be only possible through two gates; one of them a single person gate which was secured with a electromagnetic lock (I think... there was nothing holding it locked except for what appeared to be an extra large strikeplate/small prox reader on the gatepost.) The other entrance is what appears to be a temporary construction gate, as this is a full height 15' wide gate, secured by a cased padlock (the one's you cant cut the shackle). The reason I think this is temporary is because there is a completed guardhouse and traffic arms within the "compound" about 100 yards down the line, but no actual gate in the perimeter fence. Leads me to believe that the final landscaping is yet to be done, as the "prison" type fence doesnt exactly scream a friendly welcoming. [last edit 8/29/2005 11:32 PM by tnarduzzi - edited 1 times]

| | | Posted by -normz- Came across this site recently while on vacation in Florida. This is an open thread though so I don't think I'm going to go beyond that. I can assure you though you would never find this on privatly owned land anywhere in Canada. This thing must have cost a fortune to build, you can't truely appreciate it's size and quality until you are up against it. Spent all of 45 minutes trying to scout a way in, all to no avail.

| | | Clearly you can see what has become of the fence in this picture. Please take caution, however, when utilizing your tyrannosaurus that you do not stand in front or to the left or right of its vision, as you do not want to be in the situation shown above. Where do you get a tyrannosaurus? Simple

| | | Yeah, it's a pretty common site out here in Colorado - some rich californian sells his tar-paper two bedroom shack for $500,000, moves out here buys 20 acres and pays more for his fence than I paid for my house...

Sorry for the crap MS paint job, but you get the idea. In my opinion, these would be easier to handle than the ones with the verticle hand grips. [last edit 8/31/2005 9:10 PM by wr0x2 - edited 1 times]
