This is absolute bullshit... utter rubbish.
everyone knows that urban exploration really involves arson while committing rape and sodomy while your lookout trashes the place.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing. |

| | | No, I do not agree with the title of this article and yes, there are multiple misunderstandings that were posted. It's not like it was proof read after she road it. There are multiple things in this article that are wrong, but also many things that are very true and very informative. An as for Eschaton not breaking in? I've seen him use a crow bar to break into buildings. Pulling off boards that COULD NOT be put back up. And Eschaton will not be dealing with anyone. I can't even remember the last time Dante and I tagged along with him. And the first building was a bust because they had set up security on this inside of the building. Dante climbed and found some form of motion sensor. You're going to hate on the fact that this article was wrote? What about Into the Darkness? A movie shot for the world to see. This article wouldn't have even left the area if it wouldn't have ended up on Facebook and on here. Yes, there are a few flaws in this article that I wish would have been changed, but we actually sought out to do this because Urbexing is a passion. Dante got in contact with the Leo on this, they found it interesting and it all started there and I was in full support of his idea. We took out the author and showed her around and had a great time. Who wouldn't want to take someone along Urbexing who hasn't been, but is obviously extremely interested. I still completely support the idea. I wish a few things would have been changed around, but I don't regret it. We got 6 pages in the Leo, we made the cover. People took so much interest in Urban Exploration that we made the cover story.

Well put.
Talking to the media about what we do is a constant temptation. Several years ago, I gave an interview to a Sioux City reporter regarding urban exploration and its relation to a prominent Sioux City abandonment that had suffered fire damage. It's tempting to use such an encounters as an opportunity for self-glorification, but it's far more important to sidestep issues of egotism and use it as an opportunity to set the record straight. It's good to enlighten the reporter about "Sierra Society" styled codes of ethics, but you need to also keep that in mind in regards to anything else you might say, especially when you are no longer focusing on the moral conduct aspects in discussion. Lots of explorers have done questionable things once or twice (or more times) in their exploration careers. I've certainly been no angel and have even gone against my own ethics from time to time. But you can't so much as whisper such things to a reporter. Talking about crowbars (even offhandedly) might seem like a little thing, but the reporter will always latch onto that because it is sensational. I don't fully blame you on this though. You haven't made any mistakes lots of other explorers haven't already made before when talking to reporters. But you shouldn't get defensive and pass blame on Eschaton. And you shouldn't justify your own actions by pointing out the questionability of his. Eschaton didn't want any word of his activities to be discussed with the media to begin with. It wasn't right of you to bring them up. All in all, the article itself isn't terrible. It gets a lot of things right. It's just a shame the term "breaking in" got so completely attached to it.

No, you generated enough interest that law enforcement are probably watching things a little bit more closely. You highlighted something that should not be. B and E? Never a good thing to admit to. Felonies follow you forever. Your need to be recognized has pretty much made the rest of us look like shit and to quote Ninj the way you did was absolutely fucking wrong.
