I would like to send out a big howdy and a thanks to Atomic and Asylunt for a great time under the ruins a couple weeks back. Unfortunately on that trip we had to watch a good friend drown. We will miss you mini-mag light. Planning an exploration for later in the day. Got a good tunnel on the West bank of the Mississippi that we just discovered just down stream of the stone arch bridge. This is not part of the Mill Ruins, but it might be the bat cave? Send a line if anyone wants to join in on that. Looks like it goes forever and actually has some head room (looking at you Atomic).

Some good mines up in your neck of the woods. Try a nighttime adventure at the Adventure Mine. Lots of neat stuff and stopes off the beaten tourist track. 
I'm "Slim Jim" Hollison, I live in Bumfuck, IA, but spend most of my weekends exploring in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Kansas City, as well as rural Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, and occasionally Illinois. Nuthin' to see in Bumfuck, but it's a great central location to many of the Midwest's interesting cities (from a UE perspective). I've also been spending many a weekend learning powered paragliding near Kenosha, WI and might be up for some daytime UE in the Chicago-Milwaukee corridor over the next couple months.
I want to be different. But I want to be different just like everybody else, because if I really were different, everybody would think I was crazy and weird.

I have a website, alliedpaper.org, which contains pictures and narrative "tours" of a couple Kalamazoo-area factories that I've explored. The first such place was the Allied Paper Mill, hence the name of the website. I should really register a different generic domain name for my other explorations, and dedicate alliedpaper.org to Allied Paper in the interest of making sense, but I haven't done so yet.
