Not the part that floods if I remember I'll post that pic tonight of the flood area Also hack being they sealed the janion up toght before I could get in I'm excited for the work so when my company gets called in I show up early and explore, most of these old buildings need alot of work done to make them safe my company is lucky enough to get some of the work and im even luckier to be the one to go

So, I just did the Janion a few days ago. I'm not sure if somebody has resolved this before, but there was talk of a possible tunnel entrance in the Janion basement. Well, I went there, and did a pretty good scour of the basement floor for hidden doors/ tunnels, etc., and found absolutely nothing except really, really weak floorboards and dirt. Of course it could have been buried and/or covered, but I can't imagine anyone would be able to find it without some fancy equipment. I only went in there with a camera and a flashlight, after all. 1.

5. As you can see, nothing spooky or tunnel-ey showed up, but it was a pretty cool adventure, nonetheless.

The Janion/tunnel connection was fun while it lasted, but Tanuki and I solved that riddle years ago. Still...it's nice to see that the old gal hasn't lost her charm.

How/what did you solve? I really don't feel like trawling through 177 pages of comments to find it...

Call the 'trawling through 177 pages of comments' part of the research.

Agreed with KublaKhan's above statement. We're lucky enough to have a Forum which has such heavy duty experienced individuals in which have invested almost a decade of time to find all of this information for us that is held within in 177 pages, the easy part is reading it. TacDical, I'm totally jealous of what access you have regarding your job. I also consider this almost the bible for explorers, and how can you not want to go over 177 pages of awesome useful information. Again... I'm 10 years too late.. I only wish I knew about this site when I Was younger. I only found out about this lovely place from GothVic about 2,3 years ago. - Artemis

Fair enough. The fact that all of this information and experience is available is nothing short of amazing, but it is kind of a pain to go through it all to find one specific thing.

I was up in Jordan River the other day... I know this place which has an abandoned dam.. it's pretty wild and spooky there, it's also very difficult to get to because the logging roads are very sketchy and you need a truck or a Jeep. Lucky me..I have... 1.

Once you are there the tunnel in the dam goes for about 1km across with very dangerous water outlets. Pretty awesome in general.. - Artmeis

Posted by HackTheRipper Hey. I'm really new to this whole UE thing. I've only really done the Roundhouse and a few abandoned houses so far, so as you can guess, all these rumours of tunnels are very intriguing. So, I'm Emmanuel, I'm 17 years old, and I play the bass guitar. If there's anybody still on this thread who's actually been to any of these tunnels, I'd be glad to meet and explore sometime over Spring Break. The stories of Peterman and Tanuki seem particularly interesting. So just let me know if anyone's interested.

Good work, and that concrete covered portal in your last photo may hold some secrets. Unless the other side is known, it's fair game for awesome linkage to the underworld. Well, at least tunnels and myster7.

Well, If we're going to figure out what's up with that wall, it's going to have to be done rather quickly, since the renovation project seems to be coming along quickly.

Hack, Are we going to have to do an all nighter????? I want all floors recorded/pictures of development. - Artemis

I have a good set of pictures I took of the Janion. Take a look at my post history to see them. However, getting a closer look at the basement seems in order.

Pictures are great.. Video's are for our generation which goes the extra mile.. can we do it 1 more time hack? I feel this is the breaking point where we, " us explorers " will lose this opportunity to tell our fellow youth our experiences. - Artemis

Heads up if you two haven't gone yet ^^^ They've made a bunch of changes from when I last checked it out, including putting a board up near the back. Here are some awful phone-quality pics of what I saw today. Board put up near the back end of the building, no other purpose that I can see other than making it hard for people to possibly climb up there.
There's also a massive opening on the right side of the building at ground level. They probably do something to it at night, but in mid-day you have a good view into the building.

Oops, that was probably me who brought that about. Dollars to donuts, somebody saw me climb in and out and reported it to the construction company.

Dollars to donuts that someone from the construction company reads this thread.

Checked again today, whatever they were doing with that hole in the wall they sealed it up.

Hey, if in the basement of the "J" again let me know what you see in the basements front wall - right side near the corner. Just curious after seeing something when they dug the sidewalk up in front a couple months ago. Thx

Anyone know of some cool spots to check out in the Okanagan? There are tons of old mining towns near by but they're all mostly completely empty. I've already seen old Padova city, and I like that kind of stuff (mental institution, underground tunnels etc) so if anyone has any tips or spots it'd be great if they could share
