I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! |

So you're travelling there via the secret tunnel network eh?
It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf. |

Not the Garden City, but close enough: Surprise tunnel slows down digging on Bowen project
Workers were suprised to discover a tunnel beneath Bowen Road as construction continues on one of the largest infrastructure improvement projects the City of Nanaimo has ever undertaken. Workers putting in a sewer line underneath Bowen Road expected an easy dig using an existing trench. They were surprised late Friday to find the rock tunnel, approximately five feet in diameter, which city officials say was created more than three decades ago During the original construction of the sewer main, workers basically created a tunnel when blasting out rock, where deeper levels are softer, according to city manager of engineering construction Steve Ricketts. Workers at the time figured they could get the two-foot diameter pipe through the tunnel, rather than re-break the rock. Construction crews now putting in a three-foot diameter pipe were forced to take the roof of the tunnel off, creating an ordinary trench. |

Assholes. Amateurs. Vandals. Fuckheads. Don't be one of them. And I'd seriously advise NOT going anywhere near this place, unless you want to get your ass arrested, cuz when the police spot you...and they will...it will be you who they blame for this shitshow. So says KublaKhan.

KK - I was full out creeping your flickr and have to say that picture of the castle is amaaaaaazing. There must be some really incredible stuff to shoot over there. Like sheep, then you can take them home and make mutton. ;) If another 'Burke and Hare' incident arises in Edinburgh, I'll tell the cops to watch out for you.

All of the great spots are being sealed up. I just perused around a few of my favourite oldies on the weekend to find another prime entrance now siliconed into place. People. Are. Talking. "The first rule of life is to reveal nothing, to be exceptionally cautious in what you say, in whatever company you may find yourself. If you have a secret, you have only to whisper it to your dearest friend with the strictest injunction that it will go no further, and within half a day the story is all over town, and when you do make what would seem to be a perfectly sensible remark, you will find it reported in the most grotesque form, thus incurring no end of criticism to rebound upon you." -Elizabeth Aston
