Anyone checked out the Museum of Scientology on Bay? I mention this place because it's in such a bizarre and hidden location.

Anyone checked out the Museum of Scientology on Bay? I mention this place because it's in such a bizarre and hidden location. Also wanted people to know, there has been rumour that there is a tunnel entrance right next to the Belfry. So I went to the prospective manhole, took a peep and..........nothing. Just a water meter. There goes that rumour.

Interesting how it's being called a museum not church. There is a COS on Quadra St.
which I have been attending regularly for years

Really? I've been looking a long time for that grotto (I'm not allowed to find out where the grottoes are until I'm 18). Nice.

That's because I'm 90 and too old to join the COS. They say I'll risk breaking my hip when casting powerful spells, I'm not mentally strong enough to use the voodoo dolls..........

Say, has anyone heard of the tunnels of Nogales, Mexico/Arizona? If you think we've got tunnels in Victoria, have a look on google. Apparently there is a whole city under the city of Nogales. I mean, from a (non political, purely UE perspective), the stuff under that city is just unbelievable. It's worth checking out.

Hi all, this is NinjaKlutz. Had some fun with Skipideedoo and Ginger (Ginger's the cool guy who's gone with skipideedoo to all the cool places in vic high that I haven't got into yet.....aka boiler room, under stairs....etc...grrr.....still beat him to the roof, though!). We got into another shaft (call it what you like....series of vertical chambers that was once a shaft that still goes to the roof, but has been radically altered over the last hundred years from renovations and now has blocked access because of pipes and shit). Like the last shaft, there was a big room next to the shaft, and then the shaft itself. This shaft, unlike the other one, i'm afraid, we could only peek into, because of some ancient metal barriers separating it from the room. Still, the room itself was plenty fun! We've got to find a way past the pipes blocking the way upwards in the other shaft.......someday. I know it can be done. .........doctor X aand his metal bending mind powers............we neeeeed yoouuuu...................... cheers, NK

The first image is looking up into the shaft. The shaft is very much a vertical series of chambers now, all semi- separated. In the other shaft you can see way up; into a whole whack of chambers above. This is the opening to the next chamber above. Nice candle signature, JPeterman. Provided a great deal of pleasure for us to come upon.

And that's only a bit of Extension. Below, below....when you work in the dirt down below........

Interesting. What's with the crack/split in the rock?

The Gap, The Gap, That's Grade A weird young man, good discovery and doc photos. We need a strong light, stronger rope, or at least put your camera over the edge and try to judge the depth. From an old earthquake you say...

Yep...happens quite a bit.

That gap, KK, is the result of the most recent of Nanaimo's large earthquakes(I think the earthquake that made this crack was, when, sometime in the 1960's? That's what someone told me). Anyways, the crack is very, very deep. And yes, you can easily fit into it.....looking down, I estimated you could easily fall down at least 30 feet underground....probably deeper...couldn't see any deeper. That coal pile is right next to town, and there is an open shaft entrance behind the pile. Talk to the people who live in the house with the statue i described earlier. They've been in all the shafts, and are really cool nice people.
