Had one... mine was an 86 if i remember right... drove it a handful of times and the transmission failed (common among automatics- they were a weak C3)
It did handle like a go-kart and the engine was so willing to be modified. 2.3L Lima OHC Turbo's were bulletproof.

I am seriously considering this as my next purchase. I need to rid myself of my shitbox Ram...this would be a fitting replacement.

Our 98 V70 had an auto in it until about 5 months ago. Only reason we swapped it was we had a donor 850 with a thrown rod that was a 5 speed. Trans had 211k on the clock and still shifted just dandy.

the autos in the Ford vintage Volvos seem to have a reputation for failure.

Well hot damn... that is fancy pants and highfalutin!

What's with the swivel seats in the 70's? My '75 Monte had them. Probably made getting service from a coke whore a lot easier anyway.

$1400 seems a bit steep for a non-4speed car (those were a hoot to drive)... and rare does not always mean worth $$$. Is it the pictures or are the rocker panels shot?
A car like this, 6 hours away, always beggars the question, "Am I bringing a flatbed, or will this make it back here?"
thanks for the thought, though... i really love those cars.
