Posted by Piecat Hey all, Currently I have a rebel T5i, and I have a cousin who wants to buy my T5i body. I already have quite a few lenses for it, and I really like it. If I were to sell my T5i body and buy a newer body, would I be better off going with a 70D, or a Rebel T6i/T6s? There really isn't too much different between the 70D and T6i/s, but I don't know enough about the technical specs to make a good decision. |
Posted by KASTRAX So now that my school re-built the darkroom I was thinking of getting into film photography. I wanted to ask any veterans of the film era what their favorite camera was. |

Posted by Herm I explore mostly Sandstone mines (very dusty) and Storm Drains (wet and moist). I have already killed a cheap point and shoot due to dust . I am looking for a rugged water/dust proof camera that can do long exposure low light pictures (minimum 30 secs; longer or bulb mode would be awesome). I have a budget of $200-$400. I don't want a gopro; I'm not interested in taking videos. I am pretty inexperienced with manual settings, but would like to learn more. I'm open to the idea of a case. Any suggestions? |
Posted by sulfurburner So I've been playing around with my D3300 for a few months now and starting to get the hang of it. I would like to get a good, but affordable wide angle lens for it. does anyone have any recommendations? |
Posted by htp123 Can I bump this? Exactly the same question. I just killed mine with cave mud. |
Posted by Greenitthe I'm trying to choose between the Nikon d750 and the d810. I've been using a friend's d7000 for my expeditions if they aren't using it. It is pretty good but I'm looking to get into the full-frame world so I don't end up spending on lenses that I'll end up selling off when I do upgrade. I mostly use a tripod, unless I'm going in a drain. I've heard the d750 is really great for dark areas but the d810 has that delicious resolution for my above-ground shots. I'm leaning towards just getting the d750 and buying some better wide angle glass. Which do you guys think is the better choice for me? |

Posted by Shawn W. It depends on how badly you need and want the extra resolution that you'd get with a D810. It's an outstanding machine. The only drawback is that it shoots at a maximum of 5fps. You'll still be getting a body that's capable of shooting over 24MP, so my recommendation is to go with the D750. Which lenses do you plan to get? |
Posted by Greenitthe So far all I've looked at is nikon's 18-35mm and a few sigmas. Do you have any suggestions? Edit: Just a note, not particularly able to spend on some of that fancy $2000 glass. Looking at no more than $800-900 at the moment. |
