Edmonton, Alberta Canada UE Crew
< on 4/14/2010 6:38 AM >

Hey guys,

So heres the thing, Edmonton sucks and we need to find some cool shit to make it interesting. Anyone who wants to explore buildings with weathered UE's drop a line. Lets get a building/drain crew going.

There have been somewhat crews in the past, but I get the impression they meet a lot of opposition.

Is Dixon still around? He's the dude who introduced me to UE in the first place.

Anyway, I'm moving this to the appropriate regional forum.

I dont know Dixon, However if you are ever interested in going out drop me a line. Im always up for UE. I am trying to find some old factories however everything seems to be torn down or highly patrolled by security.

Anyone have any Ideas?

Ya I just moved here and I've been waiting for the drains to thaw out- Im trying to find ways into segments of university tunnels right now as well. I would be interested in forming an edmonton crew, so long as I get to see some interesting locations.

The university tunnels have a camera and you will be caught and fined.
However Ive found a few tunnels by the river I.e storm drains and sewers but they go on for ever....all I want to find is a junction room....

Yeah, the U of A steam tunnels are highly risky. I know one guy who got in them with permission for a Gateway article.

I haven't been back in Edmonton for a while and don't have any plans to return. Ask Cody or one of the other boys who Dixon was; he might still be in town if the army hasn't shipped him off or he's not up in Fort Mac.

I'm in the middle of nowhere so I now have friends of mine who previously didn't know what UE was going with me.

No factories, power plants or anything else of epic scale around here that I've found so far but if you ever make it out this way shoot me a pm if you like.

I went there this weekend and I saw a tunnel that was surrounded by a fence with barbedwire and there were cameras all over the place.
Is the steam tunnel on the river front? like a drain? or?

Well the river side entrance is all fenced off and locked- I could only see a motion light though. Ive seen several liftable grates and access panels that would only require a little skill with rope.

Hey I found another one mang. Right beside the plant we are planing to hit, is another one that is being demolished. I don't think there is a fence separating the two, but i did not go in. We should definately check it out as well.

Ya, we all should get a crew together. It would be great to have a bunch to go exploring with, cause everyone knows different places. We should get a meet going or something. Maybe I will organize something. We will see. I am going to the Dominican and plan to find some cool, off the beaten path places. Hope I don't wind up in a jail cell. LOL!

So, I think we have seen the start of a new crew in E-Town, (fingers crossed).
It would be good to set up a mass draining or infiltration one night and get some pros and noobs together. Maybe a meet too, like a Denny's or something like that. I don't want to sound to enthusiastic, but don't you think it's about time to have a solid crew. One that doesn't fizzle out after a few months due to lack of interest, or opposition for that matter. I am sure that there are some old pros still here, and it would be great if they would share some of their secrets, in the form of exploring in a group. It would help keep this "way of life" alive.
