Lets do this one tonight warcrimes. You and I can follow the trunk back from that place you were talking about, and we will see if it links up with where we were. I think I know where another trunk line in @#$%^ is. I was doing some late night research and discovered a few more dry ponds int the area. Maybe we will be in south Edmonton for some time? I'll call you!

ok killer. We should definately meet up. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain but not that hard, the blunt of it will arrive on wednesday, thursday. If your not working tuesday night try to get down to Millwoods. I will let you know where exactly and when. We are trying to map out this trunk line, so the more, the merrier.

P.S. Bring some friends if you like. And wear your rubber boots. The water in here goes from ankle to top of calves deep.

You're at the head waters of the 5100... I believe the drain you're in is 2400mm, there should be a few places where drains between 1200 and 1800mm while growing to 2775mm.

Generally I like to go into drains from the outfall and make my way up... this way I know I can always get out the way I came in. Going down drains creates the risk you slide down the drain and can't get back up.

Thanks for the advice. So the 5100 eh! Has this section of the trunk ever been explored?

Sure, but keep in mind, I've generally found that the bigger the drain, the further the manholes are apart. And in the 5100 they are far far apart. And then you still have to pray that you're not popping a manhole under a road.

The drain we were in the other night seemed devoid of manholes as well. They were very far apart. In the double barrel they were non existant.

Sadly, we did not get out tonight, so no new pics to post. Hopefully, if the weather holds one more night, we will be back on track tmrw night.

everyone is welcome. The only criteria.....is you must be from edmonton

So...even though I live in Korea, I could join? But somebody who moved there from Calgary is exempt?

Meh, I've got my own crew already.

Ya Steed, I saw those pics last night. How did you do that. I am a noob when it comes to photography. Truly boggles my mind sometimes. I have no quams about you joining our crew, but your kind of at a disadvantage for meets. Unless you know of some secret tunnel from that daycare of yours to Edmonton. LOL!!!

Who moved from Calgary. We must find this traitor and sacrifice him in the depths. LOLOL!!

Good to see some recent activity going on that i might be able to get into when i get home in late june/early july! I'll keep an eye on the thread over the next few months for sure, I haven't done too much UE just basic stuff with my friend nathan scale small buildings sleep on roofs look for neat vantage points to take pictures of the city thats about it, coolest place we have been was the charles camsell hospital but thats beyond overdone so not saying much, Another place is north edmonton going east bound on 137th ave then hang a left on either 127th or 113th ST there is a cop shop and scattered around it are some emptied out buildings that look really ruined down all we've done is walk around and scout them never gone inside i would assume they use them for training exercises of sorts...

Thats about it from me greetings from Thailand all hope i can catch you guys still going strong by the time i get back home! If you know anywhere cool to check out in my neck of the woods lemme know some world wide UE would be fun, ill be in laos, thailand, cambodia, and the UAE for a bit on my way home

Great, more chummers. We will be going strong for many months to come, so don't worry. The exploration of the southside 5100 will take a long time.
Great to hear from you!
