Nope; documented fact). So yes, some of these places may be rabbit holes to various kinds of wrong-thinking, and if this scares you then I guess you can just keep watching CNN and believing what they tell you--at least until events on the ground make that impossible, at which point you can try to memory-hole the whole thing (see Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.).

You seem to think in binary. American aggression or Russian aggression, CNN or TASS, mainstream idiocy or conspiracy theorists. This is the result of the rotting of critical thinking, which has been focused on the US but bleeding out into the rest of the world.

And you haven't given us any explanation for why you think we are on the wrong side of this conflict, or that we'll be better off if Russia expands its foothold and turns Ukraine into its own version of Xinjiang.

yeah, i agree, the Iraq war had way too many cheerleaders, especially when the lies it was predicated on were exposed. It seems one of the constants of the universe is old men dreaming up new and interesting ways for young people to die in ever loonier wars.

I was also against the US invasion of Iraq when it started. But a lot of people I knew back then who supported it now seem to be in favour of Russia's expansionism.

Really? Maybe try reading my posts again. I've made several substantive points about why I don't support Ukraine or NATO, and why a lot of the pro-Ukraine posts sound like uncritical propaganda. In response (from you at least) I've gotten content-free ad hominems and a not very subtle threat that I will be banned if I persist in this line of thinking. Got anything else?

Anyway, I doubt people want to get too deep on this topic at this forum, since it's about urbex not geopolitics, so I'm not going to keep posting about it. I am curious how this forum works though: do you really ban people for having strong opinions that differ from the administrators?

Look at your actual posts, and you'll see you were just getting angry at someone for saying negative things about Putin, and otherwise you've just been calling people wrong while unable to answer questions yourself. The most substantial post you made was giving four names without much context.

We don't ban people just for disagreeing politically or posting disinformation, as long as they don't harass people too much. But we also know when a newcomer isn't going to fit in well here.
