I really wish I was a photographer, this place must be paradise for them.

Yeah, shame it burned down.

Stop that, you. You showed an entry point. Your taking pics so you are a photographer. Even great ones weren't at first. Practice, curiosity, and perseverance are what matters, and some talent doesn't hurt.

Thanks for the peek inside.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, 'press on' has solved, and always will solve, the problems of the human race."
Calvin Coolidge

Are the people in the photography program that are in their second years and still think taking a b/w photo of a fucking stream photographers? NO.

One can take photos, but you've gotta be able to make them look good to be a photographer. I speak from being in the commercial and artistic world of photography and seeing some people who try, but just cannot be photographers.

If someone enjoys taking pictures and wants to call themselves a photographer, then by all means they're a photographer. That's like saying Pollack wasn't a painter because all he did was get drunk and splatter paint on a canvas the night before a show.

I try to give someone encouragement, and this is what it starts. I said photographer, not professional photographer. Someone who takes photographs is a photographer, sorry, but that's what the word means. Everyone starts at the beginning, and no one was good at anything difficult the first time.

Wow I'd like to actually get a good look at that film room myself. Looks like the stuff is ancient silent film type equipment... Was there any sound gear in there? Sorry I'm always interested in things that bring joy to people and movies usually do that (Except ones like Matrix 3...).

I don't remember seeing any sound equipment. Just the projectors and some old reel cases. I was really hoping for some reels with film, but no such luck.

Sometimes you can find cut out pieces from repair slices. They will fade out though from exposure to the elements. Sometimes they'll have trash bucket just for them.

There are film reels in the kitchen. Its that room with the fridges and all the computer equipment but past all that you should see the reels all over the floor. I have one in my garage that I am thinking about getting looked at but thats te only thing I have ever taken there and I took at as something to remember the place becuase I know its not going to last if you want to see pictures of my reel post that you do other wise I wont waste my time pulling it out of the garage and taking pictures but yeah most of them are in like aqua colored containers and i think they say henryton on them.

the label is very faded and im 99.9% sure that the label probably doesnt match the reel.
