Johnny Five i was at the center last friday night when it was raining. hoping to avoid the security. me and to friends of mine were checking out the fourth floor when we heard some banging. i figured with the rain and wind it was nothing so we ignored it. then the bang got way to loud for it to be just the wind so we turned off our lights and headed for the exit. we got in front of the main building getting ready to leave throught the main entrance. now i am really sneaky and quite and i got ears and eyes like a cat, like ten feet away from us this dude or chick i couldn't see anything but the flashlight, nails us with the light and just stands there looking at us for like ten seconds before one of my friends yells book it. then we took off. he followed us about half way up the drive way then vanished. we considered it be security or a cop but he didnt say anything he just stood there and stared. scared the crap out of us. this dude moves like a ninja. have you heard anything like this?

if johnny five is not writing anything dirty on the walls why stop? the info on the wall is useful to other visitors looking for very active spots.

If someone ever decides (however unlikely but you can always hope) to restore the buildings, it won't be very useful to them.

Frankly to me his notes are an eyesore.
Not everyone wants to know what your e-meter did in any given room
of an abandonment.

Some of us like to take pictures.

yes I know it's not dirty words, But the way his notes are written are actually worse from the standpoint of what it does to the scene.
A scrawled illegible name, tag, whatever is easy to ignore .
It doesn't "pop" the way something does when written neatly in lines and paragraphs.

In a photograph with one of Johnny-5's notes.
The note jumps out at you. The viewer cant help but read it, and unless it's your
intention to take pictures of things people have written on walls of abandonedments as opposed to pictures of the abandonedments themselves.
It ruins an other-wise viable image.
At the same time changing the "feel" of the room (well ok it doesn't always change the feel of the room).

If you want to disseminate information on haunting
there better ways than writing it on a wall
Go to the User Board index and subscribe to the Ghosts and Hauntings board
While the information may not be at the exact location of the haunting
It will be available to a much larger audience. An audience that's interested in the paranormal.

Or (and this is just a suggestion) use a pencil
It fades into the background so to speak, and your goal of leaving a record of your experiences will still be achieved.

Actually Henryton is officially for sale.

There doesn't seem any legal problems associated with the sight the way there is at Glenn Dale.

You never Know.

i completely agree that that image on the wall is an eye sore. i didn't see that message when i visited the henryton center. the ones that i have seen are small and done neatly as you suggested but are in marker. i am not here for ghost hunting as some of you seem to think, it just so happens that alot of people visit the henryton center for ghost hunting and i think that the info provide on the walls can help first timers maxinize their experience. " the zine anout going places your not suppose to go" majority of places a ghost hunter would go thier not suppose to.

I knew it was for sale, I'm just afraid whoever buys it is going to tear it down.
