No, spelling is not the issue. It is almost impossible to read what you post because there are no periods, commas or capital letters.

This isn't boot camp and you are not a ninja. But you sure look like an idiot in that outfit.

Yes, the spelling is not bad at all. Funny how asbestos is spelled right, but easier words are not. Reminds me of someone...

Dude... failing to use punctuation doesn't make you a retard it makes you lazy. It's really difficult to read what amounts to a single sentence that goes on for twenty lines. New sentences start with capital letters, and periods go at the end of sentences. I'm willing to bet you already know this, and just like to type really fast. Well thats hard to read, and its just lazy. So give punctuation a try, it's your friend.

It has been for sale for a while. What kind of legal problems are there with Glendale ?

Sorry for waiting so long to reply but I haven't been on a computer for the last few days, and sorry if I sounded condescending in my last post. Didn't mean to.

It turns out I had the wrong idea about the legal situation
in Glenn Dale. I was thinking, And I believe I read somewhere back in 2002 that the Collington Care Services deal to renovate the existing buildings had fallen through because of some legal snafu. Looks like I was wrong that's what I get for going on half remembered info.
I just went through the last few years of The Washington Post, and it looks like that proposal was just ignored.
Now there's this "land swap" thing that would involve knocking down the entire campus, and building homes. That can't go through because the state is in charge of zoning for that property, and a bill was passed at the same time as the Collington plan that sets the hospital grounds for a continuing care facility.

dont have a cow people there not going to restore the main hospital they would probaly tear it down who the hell is going to foot a bill of millions of dollars to remove all the asbestos trust me im in mataince and have delt with asbestos in the schools i dont think a little writing will hurt a thing when the place is destin for demolition i could see if it was a nice place like rose wood was and was of historic value which i do respect by the way but main hospital was early 70s are so no real value but ghost hunting only buildings of value are the brick ones so i take the critsim but i read it and i get it so stop the wineing for god sake i hear enough of it at work all dam week uuuuggggghhhh its cool all good i just want to investagate

Henryton, along with the many other similar disused properties are not necessarily destined for demolition. You may know that it takes a lot of money to remove asbestos, but what your not aware of is the asbestos must be properly removed before a building can be demolished. So trust me one way or another someone, someday will have to foot the bill. In effect the first step in demolition is the same as the first step in renovation.

Despite the pealing paint, and the leaking roofs these are viable structures. Structures that are steeped in history, and people jumping to conclusions based on uninformed opinions don't help the situation.

I loved the admin building at Rosewood, but the fact is the historical value of a building isn't based solely on great age or monumental deign. Wile all of these are important considerations there not the only ones. In my opinion your leaving out the greater part. The stories of the people who lived, worked, and died in these buildings. The very people who's spirits your trying to contact. From the dawn of man until the discovery of the cure in 1946 TB was a death sentence leaping from person to person, sometimes infecting, and slowly killing entire families. The history of this disease, and it's treatment is intertwined with the history of mankind.

which i do respect by the way but main hospital was early 70s are so no real value but ghost hunting only buildings of value are the brick ones

The oldest part of the main buildings dates back to the 1920's, and the newest dates to, I believe, the mid 40's.

Finding an intelligible line to take out of context was quite the challenge, btw.

Yes, the newest buildings are the brick ones. So Johnny-5 please leave it to people who know what they are talking about to decide what is historic and what is not. Even buildings from the 70's can be historic.

I find it interesting that some one who cares so much about ghosts of people from the past who inhabited building doesn't even care to check anything about the history of the actual building. You would find out alot more about the place from a few news paper articles than some meter readings and white noise on a tape.

Some ghost hunters were attacked by the ghosts of dead patients. The ghost hunters were using torches because they didnt want any electrical interference. Scared ghost hunter + dropped torch = burned henry
