I would love to see pics. I felt that scene in kiss the girls looked for to much like scenery especially if you compare it to what they did in Silent Hill.

Thought of another one. What about the house at the end of the Blair Witch Project?

Not really related to UE but there are some sweet buildings that I'd love to explore in Equilibrium.

I'm not sure if any of you are aware of this but considering how much you guys love Silent Hill, I only feel it right to inform you that a town like that does exist. Centralia, Pennsylvania, A coal fire has been burning there for some 40 years. To this day the town is still standing slowly falling into the earth.

I visited it once on a motorcycle trip, one hell of a crazy story and one hell of a sight to see.

You can check it out at

http://www.offroad...alia/centralia.htm

We are going to inherit the earth . There is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie may blast and burn its own world before it finally leaves the stage of history. We Are not afraid of ruins. We who ploughed the prairies and built the cities can build again, only better next time. We carry a new world, here in our hearts. That world is growing this minute.

centralia is all but gone now. As of last year there was only two homes left. Still a good drive on the old streets if in the area. Hell of an interesting story and history.

My nominations (apologies if someone named any of these in earlier posts and I missed it) are:

  • Dark City
  • Brazil
  • Delicatessen
  • Eraserhead (an early work by David Lynch; the ultimate in the feeling)
  • Repo Man (a great weird film]
  • Liquid Sky

with care,
--Vinny

Maybe it's a bit obvious, but Dark Days anyone?

Great documentary looking at the residents of the Freedom Tunnel, before trains were using it again.
