We already have a Captain Obvious... Should we suggest for him to change his name, or you think it'll be alright for now?
|
Not a bad idea - worth putting the idea to him, at least.

| | | Hello, I am Arbitration from Fredericton NB, I've recently taken to exploring our cities utility tunnels, am looking into telecom/storm drain tunnels. I don't really know of anyone in my area doing this type of stuff, but I'm hoping this forum will help fix that.

I'm really interested in pursuing UE, but there are few opportunities in the small city/college town i live in. i'm interested in getting into parkour, and i longboard. i hate winter. if anyone who lives in the tompkins/cortland area wants to give me a holler, go right ahead

| | | Hi I'm new and really haven't done much exploring on my own yet, but have had fun doing location scouts for some films that I have directed. I am relatively new in Daytona Beach and looking for places to explore. I have 2 kids, 10 and 8 (almost 9) and wondering if other people on here have any kids and if they bring them along or if it's too dangerous. I'd love to meet up with anyone interested in showing a newbie around. I'm excited to be here and look forward to getting more into exploring.

I've brought my kids along a few times. As long as its not especially dangerous, I don't see it as a problem.

| | | Hey everyone. I've been exploring for...well...all of my life. Over time I've gown to bigger and better things. I have TONS of pictures and I can't wait to share! I've only been to places in the Midwest - mostly Michigan, and a few in Wisconsin. Three years ago I moved to the Upper Peninsula of Mich, for college, and I'm never out of places to see. The area I'm living in has lots of old mining towns, buildings, abandoned mines, etc. This is my last summer up here, (if you've lived in Upper Michigan, you know the winters are lonnnng) so I've got everything mapped out in advance.=D Wellll, I'm out of things to say. If there is anyone in the Keweenaw area that shares an interest in UE'ing, get a hold of me!

| | | I've taken my son (14) on a few explorations. As splumer pointed out: as long as there is no danger then all is good. We are planning a road trip to see some sites in PA this spring/summer. We are both hyped, it's great to have something in common and it's better that they explore w/ you than off on their own. You can keep an eye on the and teach them the proper way.

| | | Hey, whats up? Name's Sam, I'm 19 and live in Richmond (though I go to school in Harrisonburg). I've always like going into old buildings and thought it was just me...whatever...Just add me or message me if you live within 50-75 miles of either of those places. I'd love to start urbex pretty intensely, so keep me updated. Thanks!

| | | Hey guys! My name is Kat, new to the site but not UE. I love going for drives and bike rides down old country rides and seeing what's at the end. I'm really into photography (Nikon D40 DSLR - nothing big, but it's a start) and typically will bring my camera along everywhere I go - you never know what you might stumble upon! Currently I'm in school in London, Ontario and can't wait for the snow to melt so I can get my bike back out there!

| | | Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I'm 22 years old, live in Edmonton, AB, Canada, and am in school for psychology. I'm also a big camera enthusiast, which is one of the reasons I've become so interested in urbexing. Unfortunately though, I don't know anyone whose interested in it too, so here I am, hoping to meet some people to go exploring with every once in a while. It's great to meet you all.

Thanks for the advice. There is an old school down south of us that I'm thinking about checking out and it should be fairly safe, so I think I just might take my kids.! Thanks again!

| | | Hey guys. I'm a 20 something and been doing for a few years. I have some "pro" background as well. Generally, I enjoy drains and tunnels. but the sneak and hunt of dodging seccers is always fun. I'm busy for a while so i'll just be reading to keep my self up to date.

| | | Hey I'm Derek, an amateur photographer from Pittsburgh Pa. I've always been fascinated with abandonments and gritty urban areas. I feel fortunate to find such a place online where other people share the same interests in exploring and photographing abandonments. I didn't know a forum like this even existed. Anyway I'm looking forward to learning a lot here and hopefully meeting some new people to shoot with. I don't know anyone who is into this sort of thing. Drop me a line if you're from the Burgh, I know a few spots. Oh, and a tip for the mods which have may have already been brought up; Instead of completely restricting new members to post for 7 days, maybe just limit them to post in the rookie forum first to get acquainted. Just a suggestion, waiting a week to post is agony!

| | | oh wtfux, I'll give you guys an intro. I'm Vov, Traceur for a couple years now. Bit of an anarchist.... I know how to move efficiently and I'm accustomed to evading police and private security. (within reason, obviously over 9000 cops and dogs and helis = fukt) To UE more specifically though, I'm new. I'm not exactly in a city, so there isn't too much available most of the time. Not sure if there's anything else to say... oh! visit http://stealthiswiki.org/ for me. :p (I don't recall if there's a rule against that statement... do not want b&!)
