I am amazed by the community this has around it. I always thought UE was something I did as a weird sort of outlet. Turns out my explorations actually have a name.

I love the Location Database. I can't wait to start adding my own finds. The amount of useful tools here is going to be great.

Hope to hear about all the best UE experiences. For now...

Hey UE community, the names J, I am a historian, artist, and UE from California. I currently live in Nevada and have been finding some pretty cool sites out there.

I joined this community to share my stories and experiences with other explorers as well as preparing myself for the trip back east I am taking this summer. I hope to maybe meet up and get to know some explorers that can maybe show me what HASNT been demolished back that way. So if anyone is interested in showing a newcomer around that would be awesome!

My absolute passion and motivation that fueled my desire to get into UE 2 years back is Danvers State Hospital.

Hello everyone,

I have been exploring for several years, and wishing I could spend more time at it. I don't own a camera anymore, so it maybe a while till I can get a new one and can start posting pictures. Don't ask what happened to the last one. But I can say for fact that water, car tires and cameras don't mix.

I have explored mostly old homes, and industrial buildings. A few old barns/sheds and buildings that I was never quite sure what they were in a previous life. I find it thrilling to see something that others haven't seen in a long time.I also enjoy learning the history of a place. I like to go and dig up information on the property in question. Talking to people about it and learn from them little details that might otherwise go forgotten in to the past.

As for myself I like to go exploring and always want to learn things that are not written about in a textbook. I live in North Georgia and have two cats, a son, and a significant other....everything else in my life is subject to change.

I look forward to talking with others in the area and other explores in general.

~Peace~

Ahoy. I've been exploring solo around the Raleigh/Durham, NC (USA) area since I was a kid, but now I've found some locations that I definitely need back-up for.

This seems like a good spot to meet people who, when asked, would not be all like, "but that place is ABANDONED! What if it COLLAPSES! You could get ARRESTED! EEEEEeeeek!" Which is what most of my current friends do. Anyway, hope to have some pics up soon, and some new locations once they let me!

Well im not exactly new as such-i used to be known on here as Floater-now way of me proving this but i know i am,i havent posted here in a long long time as a lot has been going on in my life-my father passed away and so i havent had the heart to dabble much on forums.

Also my faithful old pc gave up and with it my old password which where on a e mail account i cant access anymore( another long story relating to personal issues will bore you all to sleep),so it is that i must start again from scratch and i accept that.

I contributed posts about:

Highgate High Level Station

As a final word for id like to give my best wishes to all here and hope to be back as i was in time - that may be way in future but hey ho

Hi I'm kind of new to this and have not been out exploring much. I have seen tons of photos and I am very interested in going to some more places.

I've been to two different drains with a friend and a few buildings around my city, maybe I will take pictures next time.

Hey guys

my name is Atari or thats what my friends call me.

I live on the east coast and have been into UE since i could read "NO TRESPASSING." I just didn't know there was a name for it until a month or so ago when i stumbled across this site.

One of the most recent places I've explored is the Georgia Mental Health Institute. My friends and I have been going there every once in awhile for a few years and sometimes find new buildings to get into through the underground tunnel networking because different parts are always blocked. Also I went to this old abandoned prison last week. Id never heard about it before so i decided to check it out.

I always have a camera with me (either 35mm or polaroid usually). I'm not a fancy shmancy photographer but I got a love for it, so its what i do.

other than that..I'm a pretty laid back kid.

PS. I'm going to be in LA mid February and want to go exploring and take some pictures. I don't know of places to explore there yet so I'd love some fellow adventurers. Anyone wanna show me some places/join me?

Hi there.
I'm a third-year university student who loves taking hundreds of pictures at a time.
I've been interested in urban exploration since I was a young teen. I didn't even realize it had a name back then. I also didn't think to take a camera with me. Now I have two and the resources to go to more places. I'm eager to find new locations. I'm more interested in exploring lower risk places than places with security guards and cameras.
I'm planning a road trip up north to visit some of the ghost towns in this province. I have to wait until the spring (when the busy semester's over).
I hope to be around a lot, and soon with some contributions of my own.
See you around!

Hey all, I'm from Santa Cruz in Northern California; I've a little UE experience under my belt and am super interested in getting out more. So far my repertoire only includes two abandoned schools, a couple houses, an old fishing license place, and some unused bits of a local hospital, I'd like to see more though.

I've been following various UE sites for a while, and this one seems really active, with a lot of potential spots; I just got a new camera so I'll have to get busy.

Heyyy, I'm finally unmuted. You can call me Tony. That was hard ya know? To wait seven days to talk, especially since I myself am so talkative. I am new to UER, and relatively new to UrbEx in general, but I feel that I must have done something like it in a past life, because it feels so natural to me, it speaks to my inner explorer.

I hail from Frisco, where all things are shiny and happy, except when people mess with our civil rights, then we get pissed...er anyways in my spare time I enjoy photography (as I see many people on UER do) as well as plotting out podcasts that I one day hope to launch. In addition I dabble in the worlds of cooking, tea, and philosophy.

I hope to get to know all of you a great deal more as I settle into the community.

Cheers!

Hi hi, I too am very new to this, my wonderful boyfriend introduced me to this site and the wonders of UE. I'm originally from NC and have been from one side of the country to the other, and while I've seen many nature parks and gone on many very long walks through the woods I never thought to explore urban territory, oh how I've missed out on so much, I had such a blast going underground and seeing what other people dont realize is there, I can't wait to see more. I'm in the DFW area of texas now so hopefully I'll get to meet more people around here or maybe catch the next meetup or something. Oh the joys of life.

Hi everyone here at UER! My week long waiting period is finally over...yay! I'm out of Orlando, recently just started exploring and photographing dSLR throughout central Florida and beyond. Will be moving to undetermined destination in the future and would like to network with other explorers when I get there. Will post some pics in the Southeast and photography forums, would love to hear some critiques to help my skills as both a photographer and explorer grow. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi there!

Excited about this resource & looking for people in my area to explore with. I've always found abandonments fascinating, and am looking to make it more of a staple hobby for my free time.

Hello.
I suppose it's time to introduce myself. I am Gray Wolf. It should be obvious I have an interest in urban exploration. I don't have much experience, mostly "light industrial" buildings but also a mine office, drain tunnels and maintainance access tunnels. Most of my ventures have been alone. I'd go more places but it's been difficult to find places, especially with only a bicycle for transport, which is my greatest hindrance. I hope to find somebody to explore with, or just to direct me to possible locations. I am in Orange County, California currently. Well, more later I suppose.
