Finally have a winter beater together. This was my parts car, and has paid for itself twice over now, but it still ran and drove, so I've spent every night for the past week making something out of it. It has a slight lift, muffler delete, Hella 5000s (I've installed this pair on at least 20 different cars now). Oh and a front fog light from a Lancer in place of one of the reverse lights with an override switch. That's because none of the idiots around here with jacked up trucks know how to turn of their 4' wide LED light bars when they're tailgating someone.

What's it hooked up to?

It's just wired to light up, it doesn't control anything at this time.

Well, the wagon got its first tow ever last night (at 563,498km).

Derr Vader is dead, until I figure out what I'm going to do. Symptoms were low tranny fluid, so I topped it up today as it drove under its own power yesterday a little bit. It didn't even have neutral when it suddenly gave up on Saturday. Tranny sounds like a jar of marbles, and I don't have reverse or first. So that's not fixable. A straight replacement with a used tranny is a ticking time bomb, this one was on borrowed time for the last 300,000km. I've researched the fuck out of a 5spd swap and I would be fine with doing one...however it also needs other work, and there is the risk it doesn't work. It's been an extremely long few days and very late nights. I feel like I just lost my best friend. Been hanging out with this guy for 13 years.

first the battery, then the alternator on my nephews 2005 Ranger... and no one can seem to get around to changing it out because of life and weather.

So I bought another Wagon. Over 200,000 less km, 5spd, malone stage 1 tune, EGR delete, body is in better condition, service records for the last few years. Still not sure what I'm doing with my other wagon, so it's a bittersweet day.

Nice jeep! Those tires are really massive. How many inches of lift does your rig have? My TJ has 2" suspension lift and 32's.

well after fighting the county's insurance company for the last 2 months, Ive finally ordered a new wheel for my mercedes. Was driving home after dark and hit a fricken upside down valve cover in the road. Was so dark on a 65mph county highway that I didnt see anything until i hit the thing and destroyed 2 wheels and a tire. I was able to get one wheel repaired but the other one was beyond fixing. It cracked while they were trying to straighten it unfortunately. I was hoping the bastards were going to step up and pay for the damage they caused by not kicking the cover into the hole properly but its not going to happen after 2 appeals. Got super lucky that the wheels/tires were the only things that took damage, the manhole cover had to miss the undercarriage of the car by millimeters.

2" with 33x12.50x15" tires. They look bigger because the Willy's is so small.

I had a similar thing happen back in 2002... someone had kicked up a manhole cover ahead of me. I never saw it and drove right into it. Destroyed one of my very hard-to-find 87 Z24 wheels and brand new BFGoodrich radial t/a white-letters... I had an accident report from the police, estimates on replacing the wheel and tire... State of NY told me to piss up a rope. (facepalm)

Thanks for replying. My rig has 2" lift also but with smaller tires.

AdventureWagen 2.0 has been coming along nicely! I've made some modifications, including painting the rub strips black...next up is likely going to be some exhaust work. I've put about 6000km on him so far, and he's been loving it! I'm getting 1100+ to the fuel light no problem. The black wagon is waiting to be parted out when I'm off in August
