350 hp and 455 lb tq. is stock not all that much considering its a 496 CI

Wow, such a big engine and sooooo little power - with pretty poor MPG too?

There is an upside somewhere, right?

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

Haha yeah you've got me on most of that.

Mostly just like the size of a 3/4 ton truck and the sound of a big block.

I know the massive interior space for hauling people, gear and having super comfortable heated seats with a nice ride in rough terrain (has autoride air control system) was an up side for me.

Also being able to tow up to 12K lbs. since it has a built in 2" receiver hitch and brake controller was another plus. Basically I just got sick of the small cars I'd been driving because I was always getting stuck in the winter snow. We've had 5+ ft. drifts this last week. I live 15 mi out of town and have a lot of gravel roads to get to work. Plus I never had enough room for my 2 dogs and luggage if I wanted to travel now I can bring all of that plus a couple friends if needed. Its certainly not the most economical thing on the road but I like it. It does manage to get 14mpg out on highway and even if driven WFO everywhere doesn't get under 10mpg.

I ride a Yamaha R-1 just as soon as the weather lets me so my gas bill in the warmer months is minimal at best.

It might be handy to get the family to and from church in Belfast, Compton, Detroit, or even Iraq?

3/4 ton with Cummins diesel is good for about 25 MPG.

I live 15 mi out of town and have a lot of gravel roads to get to work.

I'm on gravel, but it's only a mile to pavement. About 2 miles to a town with a bar and 10 miles to a town with a Card-Trol. To get to a town with a grocery store and a Pamida is about 15 miles.

Wouldn't trade living here for anything, but faster internet would be nice.

Meh don't worry aboot that, it seems to be an American Tradition; big engines with way less power.

3.0 V6 Ford Fusion (US)? 177Bhp
3.0 V6 Ford Mondeo (Euro)? 220Bhp

Same car, same engine, same target market, similar price. There might be a good technical reason for this, but fuck knows what it is!?

As for the air suspension - well that shits THE BOMB!! I can see where a system like that would be very useful for far-flung locations.
