This is the shit that starts to make me nervous:

New York creates 'containment zone' around cluster of coronavirus cases in New Rochelle“
https://www.cnn.co...navirus/index.html

They are using the Coast Guard to enforce the zone.

Done deal. Too little, too late just like Italy and Iran.

In my estimation it is so widespread stateside it is beyond contaminant.
This is a Disease X, the worst of the worst.
Highly contagious, long survival time on hard surfaces with a high mortality rate (4.64% in Italy) plus the needed massive ICU care for many to ensure their survival.

A big part of the problem was the shit lies from China including lying by omission about the outbreak for weeks as they sent biocontainmented shipments worldwide especially via airfreight.
This virus can survive for up to 9 days on hard surfaces.
China's actions infected people worldwide in a short period of time.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

No, not the Coast Guard, the NY Army National Guard.

When we trained for handling civil emergencies at Camp Smith (right up the road from New Rochelle) we trained with batons, tear gas and bayonets. There was no training with handcuffs.

Enjoy the ride!

Nat’l Guard, my bad.

But the good news is, Apple says that it’s now okay to use Clorox wipes on our iPhones. Because that was really keeping me up at night.

MOAR good news from NY.

https://www.pix11....nty-executive-says

The head of the NY/NJ Port Authority has already tested positive, so I think New York is already screwed. Screwed perhaps a little sooner than some of us, but regardless, it’s here and I agree that containment is no longer an option. Hopefully local governments adjust their strategies accordingly.

Given the current COVID-19 crisis, this new ad campaign by Disney seems to be ineptly timed.

The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. No matter how carefully a project is planned, something may still go wrong with it.

Colleges all over the country are either extending spring break or moving to digital classrooms to try and cut down on transmission. Hell, Ohio State has pretty much canceled all face to face interaction from what I hear.

There's rumbles about moving classes online and having students attend from home here in Madison too, but if it happens we'll see it after spring break. I wouldn't be surprised if graduation gets canceled at this rate though.

sigh. I don't disagree that it's a douchey thing to do, but this is what big pharmas do day in day out with essential medications. The government needs to get out of being the moral police and dictating what businesses can do.

This is a very good article on the subject: https://www.nytime...s-interpreter.html

From what I gather, you should worry if you're over 70 and/or have health issues involving your immune system. It hits harder than the flu, but a person who is healthy should be able to beat it. Similar to the flu.

Big pharma is a douche bag. So many people go without their medication because they can't afford it. I had to get antibiotics last month and without insurance, they would've been $100. That's so ridiculously painfully obviously ridiculous.

Hi folks,
Atlanta Georgia checking in with things getting a bit weird here. Just learned that the military base down the road from where I work is now quarantine some 250 people flown in last night. Also same article shows that the Hard Labor Creek Quarantine Zone has accepted it's first... um... guest.

Found this website useful for tracking real-time info on mapping the spread and breakdown of the numbers. Hope this helps!

Cheers!

All I can tell you is if you start getting lung congestion with thick hard to cough up phlegm, slap your rig cage hard open handed as you cough/exhale.
Do as much and whenever needed.
It's a rather violent technique that works.
It can save your life; old school shit.

Do not let the mucus build up in the lungs!!!
It's an exhausting technique that can drag on for days and nights.
Elevating you chest so your head is lower when trying to sleep sometimes helps too.

I still have spider veins patches on my chest the size of dimes from the flu 3 years ago. Never went to the doctor or ER.
Probably be dead if I hadn't done the above.

Survival is earned... got to suffer for the cure.
