i used to work with a girl from there at CPC in Middlebury. You're actually closer to 45 minutes away as there is no fast way to get to Middlebury from NY.

Man do I ever hate the horse patrol. Sure it looks neat, but seriously. Put a diaper on those fucking things! I cycle all year round, and in the winter the horse shit turns into big frozen speed bumps that do little more than take out cyclists.

I completely agree. The no diapers is a disgrace.

If you look at the COST of putting cops on horses; it's probably cheaper to fly them around on jet propelled unicycles.

I know here they only use them (at football matches and such) for the intimidation factor.

In Amsterdam, they're indeed used for the intimidation factor, they do great with the tourists, and they can far easier traverse Amsterdam's city streets than cars - however, not so well as our cycled police force.

I've always wondered what was supposed to be intimidating about fuzz on a horse?
Maybe it's because I am from the rural that horses aren't intimidating.

Maybe it's just because they're effectively taller than you? Or because Police horses are trained to poo explosively on command.

Ah, I love a chick in uniform. Makes me wish conscription was unisex in Korea. Oh well.

I returned to the most famous UE site in Korea, dubbed Gangster's Paradise by me, which was the location of a furious battle between protesters and police last month, resulting in six deaths. This bus covered in funerary banners was blocking the way.

Protesters had been holed up on the roof of this place, and anti-terrorism police were lowered down by a crane. Now there is a small army of riot police guarding this old building.

You can only see three riot police buses in this shot. There were several more in both directions down the alley.

So you think security's bad at your locations?

LOL well these horses are... In the Netherlands, they specially select a breed of horse that is tall, big, fears nothing and is MEAN! I have a fair share of football matches under my belt, and have seen my share of rioting as well. I can tell you, you can be raised by horses on a horse petting zoo in Horseylove, Kentucky, but when a dozen of these come charging your way...

Rumour has it that they are trained to ignore their natural instinct of not stepping on people lying on the ground. I have seen a couple of broken feet because of horses, but never a 'stepped on' person. Not gonna test it, though.

'A horse's dick sits on his back', as we like to chant

Where else would women be so careless with letting people see their panties? That's one of the most unique things about visiting Japan, you'll involuntarily see up so many skirts it'll make your head spin. That, and bus drivers who don't drive like maniacs.

Sounds a bit like my office on the days when a lot of the women there come in wearing very low tops & I have to spend most of the day trying not to look down cleavages.
