| | | I don't have any pictures, because this story is from quite a few years back. But as kids my friends and I would always hang out on this old abandoned property. It was probably a farm at some point because it had such huge open fields, but at the time we were spending time on it, it was mostly grass and prairie. In one of the fields were two broken down vehicles. An Astro Van, likely a late 80's model and a Orange Chevy El Camino. I remember the strange part was all of the weird things that were inside these vehicles. In the back of the van was a bunch of bags filled with junk, a whole box containing tons of keys and a bunch of letters and mailings addressed to what we assumed must have been the vehicles former owner. Most of the mail dated back to December of 1995, which was eerie because we found a tape in the tape-deck with Christmas songs on it......all evidence pointing that whatever happened to this vehicle or its owner, likely happened in December of '95. I also remember some of the letters being addressed to the owner from the Department of Veterans Affairs, which makes the whole situation seem a bit more forlorn to me. I know its probably not proper to rummage through this individuals things, but we were kids......and it also appeared that a hobo had been making the van his home as well, so hey, "When in Rome".
