It was great meeting everyone today! The drain was awesome and we managed to escape unscathed back to Austin. There were no monsters or psycho killers that jumped out at us or anything. Thanks to everyone for showing us around to all the cool places!

I hope we'll be able to make it up again relatively soon!

It was definitely the most successful meet up I've attended yet, and the draining afterward was fantastic, Hunky's was delicious all in all it was a perfect day to end a very great weekend. I'm already looking forward to next month.

Even though we only got to eat and play on the playground a bit, my girls and I had a great time. We would have gone into that drain even with no boots, but I didn't want to walk into the in-laws house looking like I... well, just came out of a drain!

It was great seeing those of you I haven't seen in awhile, and always a great time meeting new people to explore with! I look forward to exploring with you guys! (Hopefully soon...)

So, any thoughts for next month? Do we keep it the second Sunday, 6/14 (Father's Day isn't until the third Sunday)? Meet at Hunky's again, or pack up for elsewhere?

Would it be too soon to try for Tyler State Park in June? Or does that need to be a separate trip (possibly worthy of a convention star)?

I'm already taking a trip to CO in June, so I won't be able to make it up there in June. I might be able to do July though, and I want a special star! After going to DFW for one weekend I feel like it wasn't nearly enough time for much of anything, so it may need to be a somewhat ongoing thing for me.

I think the Tyler meet/trip should be a convention so those of us who didn't make it to Swiftmas can get our awesome convention star.

Also I think it should be in a separate thread dedicated to just that so we can all contribute and discuss it without mixing it up with other future meet ups.

I think July or August would be good.. but I'll save that for a different thread.

I think Opheliaism is a uniquely twisted individual. Fits right in with the rest of us.

I agree, she fits in really nicely. But, it does DOUBLE the harassment level for me.

I wanna know how Opheliaism got the "Just Elfin' It Up" star.

Also, I wanna know how to get the "Annoying" star (looks like this: see here)! Or, how to nominate someone for the honor.

The "Elfin it up" star, I don't remember what you have to do to get that. As for the annoying star you have to be able to work a Rubiks Cube in under 4 minutes.

so are we gonna start a new thread for this possible convention?

And then, it asks the question: in a cold, uncaring, ruthless world of corporate slavery and assembly-line experiences . . . how is it possible to still live a life with strength, and passion, and with a soul that is still truly alive?

I can solve it in a minute and a half on a good day. I've got witnesses!
Of course, the witnesses may not have noticed my 1337 cubing skill5, since they were busy picking f'ing LOCKS at the time...

As for the Tyler meetup, I think we're waiting for someone to bell the cat. So far, "not me" and "nobody" have stepped up.
