| | | Posted by suicidepactphoto Dont forget your official UER swag bag. http://inlinethumb...407S600x600Q85.jpg Sorry I couldnt resist. But in all seriousness all the threads you have posted are things you could figure out on your own. There is not a manual that governs what you can and can not do, take, weither to use a filter, or any thing else along those lines. Go have fun and post some photos.

Hey, I brought one of those on eBay today! Does that make me a full member now? In all seriousness though, no your bag is NOT good enough for UE, and neither are you. Oh I crack me up. Sorry. Now back to the seriousness. Your bag is your bag dude. Who gives a toss as to if it is good enough or not. As long as it does what you want it to do. That monopoly money is good old Aussie legal tender. I have some, wanna by it off me?
Caution! This user is a wise ass and may use sarcasm. Is my back pack good enough for UERing? |

| | | Sure elite members may use messenger bags from lowepro or chrome or whatever, but if you ever plan on being Super Double-Secret Class 3 you need a Pelican case. Then you'll need another smaller one to store your tabi boots.

| | | To me, it looks a little on the big side for UE'ing. I've been using this Gamecube Bag and I'm fairly happy with it.
It's decently padded on both the back and shoulder straps, doesn't snag on much because it sits in the middle of your back, is waterproof, and is surprisingly durable. (It has withstood multiple encounters with razorwire) If you travel a little on the light side, this bag is great. I can fit my camera, tripod, 2 light sources (LED headlamp and a 3D cell, 20 LED floodlamp), a case of 6 spare AA batteries, a 4 pack of D batteries, and a small waterbottle. The front pocket has 3 elastic pen sleeves that can hold 3 AAA batteries (for my headlamp), and a zippered pouch that holds my SD card wallet with room to spare.

dont forget to attach your Official UER flashlight to the bag. Oh - Stickers are also required for ID. This will help separate you from the metal strippers.

| | | Posted by Marko Kovacevic I have the bag, and I use it for biking, and school and stuff. I was asking because I had only used my Loepro photo backpack for ue, and I was wondering if this was good. I ride my bike a ton. RohesterUE, would this bag rip in a abandoned place?
|
HECK NO! These bags are made out of some kind of material that is quite sturdy and durable. Its made out of some material like Carhart

13 Km is not that far by bike, you should be able to cover that distance in no more than 30 - 45 minutes. Instead of posing these questions to strangers over the internet, why don't you take your own abilities and preferences into consideration and make a decision for yourself? Are you a reasonably strong cyclist? Do you not mind cold weather? If yes to both, then cycle there now; if not, then wait until spring. Are other factors involved in determining when you will explore the site? Perhaps demolition is a concern, if so, then you should consider hopping on that bike or finding an alternative mode of transportation. Somehow you manage to make the decision to post these questions on this site. Perhaps you could use the same decision making process to answer your own questions. If you think you need a UER ID, then you are far too naive for this hobby (and perhaps life outside of your house as well).

i think the general consensus may just be trial and error, man. I've read a few of your other posts and it seems like you want to be pretty cautious about all this. I can understand that, and in some cases, like asbestos, it's warranted perhaps. On things like bikes and bags etc. it's really trial and error based on your personal preference. You start small, a flashlight, a pocketknife and a friend, and as you go more and more you will learn exactly what you want and are comfortable with carrying. This isn't much of a science, contrary to how it might feel sometimes, and is in the spirit of pioneering places forgotten by others and left to become something new, or a reflection of what once was. Don't worry so much about getting the right gear right now. Worry about getting out there and finding some good spots to get into.
