I second Raticus's comment...good shots! When were these taken?

Here are some shots from my recent trip to the Big Bend country.

Old train station in Marathon. I believe someone lives in it. There are no tracks any where around it so it must have been moved.

These are in Castolon, just down from Santa Elena Canyon.
Notice the two residents on the wagon.

This is a cemetery in Terlingua. Looks like something straight out of some horror film.
And no, that's not garlic on the pillars!

Thanks for the pics...brings back some memories. Every Texan should travel to Big Bend country at least once!

When you were down by Terlingua, did you stop at Lajitas? (I dont know how built up it is now)....They use to (maybe still do) have a beer drinking goat by the name of Clay Henry...apparently the towns people would elect him mayor every year....

Sorry for the crappy out-of-the-moving-car-window shots but I was surprised to see these guys in an active business park off Singleton.

They're doing just what we're doing. Waiting for the place to become abandoned so they can partake of what's left of the human existence that was once there.

FINALLY got out to do some exploring a couple of weekends ago, but now it may be awhile before I can explore again... *sigh* just my luck.

Anyway, some recent pics of an old local favorite:
