Yea I looked into those, not because I was planning on getting shot at (although that may happen exploring springfield mass) but because I was afraid of sharp poles or something...but that stuff cost waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too much. I hate flavor flav Here is another question...I have experience using smoke bombs in my backyard to kill ground hogs...which got me thinking: the use of smoke bombs to escape? (yes i know i am not a ninja) I'll test it out when i go out back in the woods one day and see how the smoke spread is.

dude. this whole thread is a joke.
we are explorers, not soldiers. you dont need body armor, and you dont need a smoke grenade. if thats what you think you need, this is not the hobby for you.

| | | Yep, just what everyone wants, lets add weight & restrict our mobility while already tempting fate in rickety structures? So Piggy, do we keep the fire burning or do we go hunting instead? Either way there is a precarious balance that must be maintained... but feel free to wear your helmet especially if "you fa'll daowwn sumtimesssth."

| | | while body armour is overkill, if its more than likely you'll be injured, be it from unsafe explorations, or your own stupidity, i suggest http://redprotecti...spx?productid=2047 i use it for snowboarding and longboarding, its lightweight, low profile, and can be disputed as "armour" in case of a run in with the powers.
little known fact, if you shake the sprinkles at the bottom of a doughnut bag while exploring, youll actually be cought by cops faster |

Smoke bombs, body armor? Are you like 12 years old and feeling the pangs of testosterone coursing through your body? I'm not sure what to make of this whole pointless thread but this come close:
To "troll" means to allure, to fish, to entice or to bait. An internet troll is someone who fishes for people's confidence and, once found, exploits it. Whilst the vast majority of internet users are bona fide, there are undoubtedly some trolls out there. Q: How much damage can an internet troll achieve? Pick one or more of the following answers: None Cause minor irritation to some people Cause major upset to some people Obtain a small amount of money Obtain a large amount of money Obtain millions of dollars [last edit 7/23/2007 1:19 AM by Air - edited 1 times]

| | | My Spike back protector saved my life... during a motorcycle crash!!! Armour to explore? Give your head a shake, you don't need it, it will give you a false sense of security, it will get you into trouble with the cops, it looks stupid, and it will slow you down while running from your smoke grenades.

You can get a pretty good idea if the floor is going to give by looking at it alone. I see bad things happening when you're wearing a vest of some sort, and you're found by the police. Illegal. Part of your fetish thing, right? Unless one is about to infil a radioactive nuclear test zone and/or Iraqi market and/or all-girls private school in Afghanistan, body armor cumbersome and essentially a total heat-draw from Interested Parties.

Your chances of getting shot in Springfield by random people are minimal as long as you keep to yourself. Your chances of getting shot at by SPD are higher, especially if you try exploring anything in the south end. SPD really does reward the homeless who report crimes, and in Springfield, bums are everywhere. Also, exploring 99% of the abandonments in Springfield requires the assistance of a screwdriver or other tool, which you do not wanna be caught carrying. SPD is also quick to board up entry points, even ones not visible from the street. I live 20 minutes from Springfield, I used to go to school there, so I'm not just saying this from assumptions or what i've heard from other people. PM me if you want details and stories, I wouldn't put it past SPD to keep an eye on this site.
