I so badly want another... Seriously, the good thing about 911 is their attainability. After all the exotica I've driven, there's something about the way a plain Jane '11er squirms across the pavement, and squats under throttle.

Put a 3.6 in a solid long-nose, with a twin outlet SS, a couple of light-weight red-trimmed buckets, and you've got something rarely beaten. Certainly not at the same cost. Neko.

I'm about 75% finished restoring a '71 911E for a friend- signal orange on 15" Fuchs, but under the decklid is a nice surprise, a very nicely built 3.0 from an '82 SC (Mahle pistons, nickasil (sp) barrels, a slightly lumpier cam... and converted back to carbs.
I can't wait to try it.

Oh, I think you have, it's just they are more famous for making Land Rover or SUV type vehicles.

They're a British car firm who made cars from the 1920s through the early 2000s. This must have been one of their last cars:
The ill-fated Sterling 825/827 was a Rover with a Honda engine. They are EXTREMELY hard to come by these days, as they didn't sell well.

I'll avoid the obvious stupid Septic jokes, but they've made some tremendous cars. Not least of which the P5 Coupe (though not really a coupe, but merely a lowered roof):
Popular with royalty and police at the time. I think it was Prue Acton's son who had Range Rover chassis under a P5 body too. The P6 was OK too (for an English car):
While the SD1 looked OK, I think this was the beginning of the end for their build quality...
Any of the rebadged Honda and MG clones after these I think were just crap. Neko.

Best warn him about using high sulfur fuel with those nikasil cylinder barrels. BMW used nikasil to cast the M60 engines in the E34 540i vehicles. Fuel in the US/canada has a sulfur content high enough to react with the alloy and it destroys itself very quickly(still does contain alot of sulfur actually). Its not a problem in Europe but is here. Not sure where your at though. Best to use premium only but you probably have to with that engine. Slows down the reaction but does not stop it. They had to replace a great number of nikasil engines in the late 90s because of the problem. It was not a problem with the particular alloy they used but nikasil as a whole. Got one myself that has been changed over to an alusil block, cant beat buying a car with 180k on it and finding out it only has 90k! Not sure if you've heard of that or not, can be problematic and a pain in the ass to troubleshoot...

That's a rover 90. Essientally a baby Rolls Royce. Had electic overdrive, and oddly enough for a british car, it worked.
And I want the fiat x1/9 to the left.

Rico, there were 6 or 8 tractors at that location.
I just bumped into them by accident, I was so surprised to see them all lined up sitting there, that I didn't even notice the names as I ran around shooting them in the few minutes I had.
I'll be by there in a month or so, I'll be more observant.
