2200 J-Body, the easiest way to chage the filter was from above, but it still drained onto the damn flex-pipe. 2.7 Liter Tacoma, if you didn't remove all the skidplate, the oil would pool in it when you removed the filter.

Yup on the Tacoma. Drove one for a number of years and what a pain in the ass that was. It has been the only vehicle I have owned that quick lube touched because of those damn skid plates. Of course the truck was 4 wheeled and those plates were bent to hell. I let them deal with pulling them to do the oil change. Boy were they pissed when there was 50lbs of mud on top of them

I thought I'd be smart one day at the garage and put a big rag under the drain to catch the oil. I forgot about it, and the rag caught the exhaust later that day (thank fuck the guy was a good friend) and it started smoking like a bastard :o

How do i post a photo on here from flickr. I have a bunch of cars i found but i can't seem to figure out what they are.

Tried that one a time or two myself. Definitely didnt work as planned. Another bad characteristic of those trucks is the bottom radiator tank (plastic of course) hangs down INTO the skid plate! There isnt a bit of strength there either, i hit it in a rock field one night 4 wheeling and took the bottom tank out. Was more than an hour from civilization. Got lucky enough that it didnt crack the tank but shoved the seal between the core and tank in. I was able to uncrimp it with a pair of needle nose and recrimp the seal in place. That radiator lasted until the truck was totaled too lol. Was not nice to that engine to fill it with creek water but we didnt have a choice!

I remember workin at an oil change place and it was a 3100 or in the series that the oil filer was behinf the bend in the exhaust manifold you had to reach your hand between the block and the exhaust manifold to reach it. I think it was a buick reatta or somethin

60 and 90 degree GM V6 have a very accessible oil filter... maybe it was because of the car it was in?

I can't find the oil filter on my Taurus SHO, but what can you expect from a car that you need to remove the intake to change spark plugs.

Well after like a year of not posting picture I finally got to go to an old farm in the middle of Nowhere South Dakota, and was able to bring back many a car picture.
Any Ford guys wanna guess what this bad boy is?
This was actually an old friends pickup. It looked a lot better one year ago.
An old rabbit for you Vdub fans.
What farm would be complete without one of these?
A classic "farm use only" Ford.
Another rabbit with more parts attached.
An old bronco with a twisted frame. (Didn't get a good shot of the frame)
Last but not least, A mean green rusty machine. And that's all i got.

pic one is the butt of a 71 Ford Torino fastback. pic two is a gimme... an 84-86 Ford F-series (but the two-tone paint was sweet) pic three... oh how i hate and fear those cars. I almost was killed in a 79 Rabbit back in my formative years. Pic four... my first project in tech school was doing a clutch in a John Deere tractor. They actually split in half. Cab stays put, engine end gets pulled forward. pic five is a 73 or 74 Ford F100 long box. My parents had one of these. In the background is an early 90's Ford Festiva. pic six.... still trembling!!! Damn you, Das Auto! Damn you! Pic seven is a funny because, right off you're thinking 'Ah HA! 73 Ford Bronco!' Well, np. The Bronco never went fullsize until 1977. Before that, from 1966 until 1976, they were the smaller Bronco. This owner swapped out an older nose on a newer Bronco. pic eight is a 72 Ford Gran Torino coupe. 72 was the first year for the fish mouth. 73 wasn't as pronounced a fish snout and 74 went to a different nose altogether to account for the battlecruiser bumpers.

Not to many 5020s out there, that is worth some fat cash to some guys. That tractor is damn near bullet proof in design and that is one of the more powerful versions of that series. I could sell that thing in a day here in CO. Splitting a tractor is an interesting experience the first time you do it. Makes it a whole lot of fun when you dont get something adjusted quite correctly. You get to re-split it! Ive had more split than i can even remember and it was always an experience.

You really don't see alot of 5020's and that one looks like its pretty complete would probably bring really good money here too.

I've seen some 40 series tractors with 25K plus hours still running on the original motors doesn't surprise me at all.
It's funny to see people who know about tractors even on UER.

I found these cars a couple years ago. Each in seemingly random wooded areas. Only the first one was taken for photographic value. At one point I knew what kind of car this was but can't remember now.
My friend posing on top of a 1984 Subaru GL that had driven off a wooden bridge and was abandoned half submerged.
Never could figure out what kind of car this was. The rest of it was blown up or twisted in half, the rear axle was in the driver seat.

Used to wrench on them professionally for a long while. Worked at a JD dealership and ran their service truck. The 40 series are still one of the better tractors you can get ahold of. We see them around here with 25k+ hours on them regularly. Every farmer and his brother has at least one of them. Wish I could get ahold of that 5020, a bit of reconditioning and its a hell of an addition to the wallet!
