Hey everyone! It's about time we start a Pic Of The day (POTD) thread for the forum here. Post anything regarding to trains, but only one picture per member per day. Also, try to keep the pictures under 800x600. Anything not train-related will be removed. If the picture is not your own, please add credit to original owner or link to website where pic came from. Post now!

I know NOTHING about trains, aside from they're vehicles, which makes them AWESOME. Also, I had never seen one of these, so I thought I'd take a photo of it.

It's power for a rail grinding train. The other one is also a work train. EMD GP9RM unit. I wish I knew as much about cars as I do about trains.
> The hierarchy of power dictates that the person with the most power does the least amount of work and retains the highest benefit. |

CN locomotive 7027 sorts cars in Aldershot yard. My experience went like this: Myself and a non-explorer friend go take some train shots, and we decide to see if we can get a little closer to the action. One CN worker walks past us showing no concern, but on his radio we heard the engineer say "tell those guys they're trespassing. The cops are on the way." His response to the engineer was "that's not my fucking job!"

Random tip-of-the-day for you Hamiltonian rail nuts There's 3-4 orange SD40's parked in a small yard off Wilcox St. in Hamilton, getting some repairs done by a nearby rail facility.
Keep it fuzzy. |
