Posted by bigladchad Me personally, a 2001 for ranger. 4x4, good gas mileage plenty of room if you have an extended cab (I don't but I get by) and I grew up driving ford rangers.

I just lost my 2005 ranger October 10th to an idiot from NC who blew through a yield sign.

Nothing fancy... just my SUV. But one time, we took my friend's Hyundai Sonata exploring... we went down restricted roads and kept bottoming out. It was pretty fun, and we were able to get the car through narrow roads.

The Explorer Mobile of course! Haha just kidding, I drive a little hyundai, unfortunately the exhaust is warped and its loud as hell.

This is my 91 Regal GS, haven't taken it exploring yet. It has the same drivetrain as your car.

either my 2017 Subaru STI
or my 2010 Porsche Carrera
To be perfectly honest they're both horrible cars for exploring in, especially in rural or run-down locations where they stick out like a sore thumb. Loud, boorish, flashy - I love them, but they're not easy cars to just take anywhere. I often beg rides from others, or just make sure to park far enough away somewhere safe. I'm actually thinking of selling the Porsche to help fund a few other things, but the STi will be sticking around for at least another few years. It's my 50,000km/yr daily driver

Last explore, the rec center. My work truck, 2001 GMC something. On-the-fly-4 wheel drive. All the options and they all work. Image is from the first time I had to drive it...1.

That would be a Sierra 1500. Just a Silverado 1500 with a GMC badge. Great trucks!
