Posted by Wheedle So, I went from the V-Strom to something a tad ridiculous... 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure... https://photos.smu...0605_161727-XL.jpg This thing is nuts... 160hp... thankfully also has traction control.

At least if security spots your bike they won't think you're some broke guy doing stupid shit like exploring abandoned buildings haha. 😁 #advproblems. Nice steed 👍🏻

I can tell them it's broken down...

A motorcycle that I typically hide in a bush or some such. I don't need a cop finding a four wheeled vehicle and leaving me a ticket or waiting for me or worse-- towing me
I'm a lone explorer because I hate people. |

A beautiful sight to see after crossing the tracks on the walk back from Camp Bison. My 2008 VW City Golf. The 2.0L motor has 115 hp and 122 Ib-ft of torque, so it feels like I'm dragging an anchor through each gear. However, it's super tight through the twistys and has no problem keeping up with cars having double the horsepower. On the way to Burwash, the nut attaching the wiper motor to the transmission came off in the middle of a rain storm so no wipers for the rest of the trip. It was the second time it had happened so locktite might have been used when it was fixed.

Ah yes... The 2cv... France's short notice answer to the Jeep in WWII. It amazes me how much equipment they would fit on these things - even mine clearing drums. Not to mention the 4x4 version that had a front AND rear ENGINE! They're beautifully simplistic - in the apocalypse you'll not only be one of the first with a running vehicle, you'll be doing roadside repairs with a leather belt and a screwdriver... *approving nod*

I used to work for a guy who imported a bunch, always thought they were neat but really fell in love when I got to work on/drive a bunch of them. This one came up last spring for a VERY good price and I bought it to resell but uhhh... I kinda love it too much. I took it to the store to pick up a workbench I bought online, only to realize the measurements listed for the packaging were WAYYYY off. Unclipped the passenger seat and stuck it in the trunk, rolled the roof back and dropped it in. Also I got my Google "we're stalking you, here's a travel report" email a few weeks back and it mentioned I covered 3300 km by motorcycle this year. I haven't been on a bike since 2006 so I was curious- it's when you're travelling at highway speeds but excessive lean in corners is detected by your smartphone. AKA, 2CV miles.

With a name like that, I had to take a picture. The cemetery is in Lizard Township which gets its name from Lizard Creek.

Even long before the invention of Viagra, being a senior citizen was only as dull as you wanted it to be.

Since 2015 or so, I've been driving an '07 Ford Focus ST225 which lately has had about 100-150 horsepower - I've asked my mechanic to look for the missing horses time and again, but so far none have turned up. Were they shipped off to the glue factory? There's probably a boost leak somewhere as well as some other emerging mechanical problems... Thinking about getting something new such as the new hardtop Mazda MX-5 RF or the all-electric VW ID.3. I also looked up for some second-hand Caymans and now Porsche thinks I'm interested in the new Taycan 4S. However, most likely will end up getting some smart and sensible, like a Kia or a Hyundai compact instead because "normal people don't buy convertibles/electric cars/sports car/anything exciting". Oh, and it must be grey because that's the least offensive color... I still have my '82 Escort as well and my dad drives it almost daily. It's still the only towing-capable car in the family and also fits the furball in the back.
