I wouldn't say it was worth it even when it was gaping open.

From the pictures I saw it seemed pretty alright. I am just desperate to find a good place for a weekend UE and I have pretty much exhausted my resources.

Destroyed, vandalized, scrapped, filled with poop. I can't imagine it'll be anything but worse still with even LESS light to shoot with with the new boards, so I'd recommend don't bother. There's more in the area worth pursuing. The extra drive to DC is worth it.

There are more in DC. Have you taken a look into MD much? There's a couple good things off the beltway up there.

you (we) live in the dc metro area. like LA and NYC, land here is worth its weight in gold. you have to go a little farther out to find shit nobody cares about.

| | | Goodness I wish I had more experience in this. The two locations I have gone to I love and want to go back to. But I want more solid UEs under my belt first. Perhaps I can convince the guys to just go on an aimless drive instead of scouting the internet and google maps. That has to be how some places are found.

Oh no it's not. You just haven't looked hard enough. Take a look at Fredericksburg. I can think of 3 or 4 there.
"Deep in the human psyche there lies the need to believe in something fantastic, something powerful, something unknown." "Touch what you cannot solve, and return to me. I'll give you hints, and I'll give you three..." Zork Nemesis "I eat asbestos and piss PCBs." |

| | | Just moved to Staunton and checked out Western State, which is slowly being turned into condo's. It looks pretty legit although I only had the opportunity to briefly poke into a few buildings. Oldest asylum in the western hemisphere I've heard (someone please verify?). 1840's I think It looks pretty major, if anyone is interested in going with me let me know because I don't fancy doing this alone, although I will if I must. The whole eugenics thing kinda creeps me out a bit.
