It is an alright shot. But as far as a artistic standpoint its nothing. It has no depth, its not an interesting angle and its not an interesting subject and the lack of colors doesn't work. Take your camera to a three dimensional object and get better angles. Don't post a picture of a piece of flat cloth. It's a waste of time. Its already flat and all you are doing is copying it.

Hah, good suggestion. I would recommend that if you are not from the south; you should retire that flag or give it to someone who is. If that flag isn't hung for southern pride, and you are all about racism; I do not appreciate.
You can PM me anything you want. I would suggest posting them if you want good advice tho. I am one boy/man. I am not perfect and I am no expert. There are dozens of excellent photographers on this site that can tell you constructive advice (if they get around the smart remarks; laugh out loud)
I will give you my advice on photography; true. Part of that advice is that everyone who possibly can, should see it. Take pictures of everything. Show everyone. Listen to everyone with a grain of salt.

I agree that it didn't start out as a symbol of racism, but it certainly has become one (like it or not). Same thing with the swastika. Symbols evolve and are adopted by different groups for different purposes (for example, the rainbow).
