| | | Booth Board Mill, long abandoned, but has probably been used more recently as storage or something. Right across the street is an occupied guard hut.

I was looking for it on Live Maps. The training cop cars are all still there, but the plane is gone.

Not only cops, but also military still to some extent. Here's the Google Maps link showing the plane when it was there still. The DC-8 was used for hostage rescue and what ever else training. Lots of neat riot squad vehicles are also there such as water cannon trucks, remote control cars and UN marked APC's some of the vehicles can be seen at the top of the frame. These can be seen from the resevour easily.
http://maps.google...6,0.01133&t=h&z=17 I've always been curious as to how it arrived there as it was partially scrapped in the southern states.

| | | There is an abandoned church that has been for sale for a while now on Bronson Ave. close to Somerset St. . I've been wanting to check it out for quite some time, but haven't had the chance. There is also what seems to be an abandoned apartments on O'Connor between Slater and Laurier. There are abandoned stores there as well. I was thinking maybe we could get something together and going to check them out. [last edit 12/25/2008 6:29 AM by TreCool71A - edited 2 times]

The burned out convenience store next to Drummond's fuel on Bronson at Chamberlain looks easy to get into. I can see stairs leading to a basement area. It's such a busy area that nobody would even notice someone poking around.

Yeah, I actually was in a friend's car and we drove by there the other night. It got levelled pretty good, and there was still police tape around it. Like I said, I want to try that old church and those abandoned apartments, but I could go for the burned out store if anybody was interested.

| | | There is a new location in the east end. At the southwest corner of Anderson and Russell there is a recently vacated pair of houses and an old barn. It looks like it would be a very easy exploration, even during daylight.

Been empty for at least a couple of years. There might even be a big pile of snow to help you in.

| | | Avoid the Smiths Falls Hospital I approached it to possibly scout it for a film shoot. Not 5 minutes had passed when the owner of the construction company thats converting the place into an old folks home comes screaming up in his huge Ford pickup. He was polite and even interested in the film we had planned,he was more concerned about vandals. But obviously he has someone watching the place that called his attention to us.

You mean THE hospital at Elmsley and Thurber Street is being converted? Wow... They must be planning to gut the place down to the structural elements because NOTHING is usable in that farking place.

It is abandoned. It has been explored in the past, but every time I go look it's sealed tight. My timing must be off.
