| | | Was anyone UEing around Bayview and the Sommerset Bridge on the O-Train tracks? My friend has a Radio scanner and he was listening to security and not too long ago they reported someone tresspassing near that area with flash lights. Sounds like a UE person to me. Anyway if they were UER members, they would not be seeing this just yet but security is after them as we speak. EDIT: 10:09, security is at city center and the gates are wide open. EDIT: 10:14, security is looking for them still. EDIT: 10:18, security has given up looking for them, they got away! EDIT: 10:20, security calls in saying nothing was seen on the tracks after the initial report. [last edit 12/29/2007 3:21 AM by OCInfiltrator - edited 7 times]

| | | Okay I've mapped all the O-Train Signals in preparation for the Tunnel, right now Train C2 is at Greenboro Station about to turn around and head into Walkley Yards. EDIT: And now it's just left Greenboro. [last edit 2/15/2008 5:13 AM by OCInfiltrator - edited 1 times]

| | | While exploring randomly this morning I came across a municipal yard that I never knew existed till I found it. It has all these interesting signs and stuff. I might check it out and I would of had photos but I was too cold to get my camera out. http://maps.google...e=UTF8&ll=45.40378,-75.713015&spn=0.001661,0.003176&t=h&z=18 That is where it is located, near the Gladstone and O-Train crossing. The two yards claim to have camera's according to the signs but the east yard which has some of the interesting stuff, I couldn't see any camera's. So the signs might just be there to scare us off. | | | The big building used to house the Federal Gov't Crown assets department. It was in here that the monthly surplus auctions were held until they moved to a new building in the industrial/bantree area. I used to poke around the sealed bid auctions looking for some neat stuff. Very often you could get amazing deals on things of all sorts....by the pallet. Theft recover, seizures of drug dealers stuff and tonnes of government surplus. Check out this link if interested in what you can find on the auction block. http://crownassets...sales&RegionCd=OT0 There are also "sale by tender" offered by the PWSGC. I once saw a pallet of medium format cameras and projectors offered. You never know what they will put together as a tender sale. Prices here are usually good too. There are many locations these goods are sitting in, so remember you have to pick it up yourself. ie: dont bid on a computer sitting in Baffin Island unless you want a loooong drive.

I eventually plan on UEing the O-Train tunnel. Eventually.... lol It's a good thing that we didn't pick today because right as I'm typing this, they brought out C2 at 1 AM to train some new drivers. It's still out as we speak and it's going through Carleton right now. [last edit 2/27/2008 7:04 AM by OCInfiltrator - edited 1 times]

I've been waiting to buy a new camera so I can start UE-ing my self, let me know how it goes whenever you do it. Might be worth checking out on my own.

Well I know everything about the O-Train and where it is so if you want to go, best you go with me. I have a radio scanner and I know where all the signals are located. BTW I just remembered from my trip to St. Laurent Doors Open, the tunnel has no monitored cameras as they showed us the inside of the security monitor room. Also I got OC Transpo security on my radio scanner, just right as I was typing this there is action on it because there is a abusive passenger at Bank and Somerset. They are responding. | | | Okay I am sick and tired of this winter, I just want the snow to melt. I cannot go UEing till the snow melts because snow will just freeze up my boots when it gets on, it's bad enough walking on a unplowed sidewalk. I don't know why it happens but it does, I think it's cause my boots are crap. But I also don't got any polypropylene or wool. So I can't protect them much more. I seriously hate this winter and I am tired of shoveling snow. [last edit 2/29/2008 2:23 PM by OCInfiltrator - edited 2 times]

| | | I joined this site FOREVER ago (like four years ago) and just found it again tonight AND remembered my login as well as my password! I've never done any in-depth exploring... Currently an engineering student at uOttawa (moved here in July 07). Most of the time I am so bored when I'm not in the Market so it's nice to see a thread like this one.

| | | Muthafuckas just tore down the old Madonna Nursing Home, and I missed out on the window of opportunity to have a look. It was there on Thursday and now it's a pile of rubble. Sons of bitches. Grumble grumble grumble.... On a higher note, Pharand's Garage at Innes and Mer Bleue is now accessible, as is the big house across from the Home Outfitters just south of there. It was vacated last year, and now the kids have trashed it. Meanwhile another house still sits untouched on St. Joseph at Old Tenth Line after over a year of being deserted.
