Carbo may be in town this coming weekend. I ran out of PBR and have been substituting with Milwaukees Beast Light. I think a meetup this weekend may be in order.

Well bloody hell, if the masses have set to rabblin', we better do something. I'll make sure it gets posted in the WI forum too, and people start throwing dates and times out.

Me,I don't have any solid plans right now for the coming weekend, so I'm pretty much free whenever. I was thinkin' maybe we could do the Carrollville factories? Eh? Eh?

Let'r rip everyone...

I vote Saturday... I've got 3 others who don't post on the board that are in (one wants evening).

As for the factories in Carrollville... they'd be easy, and probably the best with a group, but haven't most people on here been to them a few times?

Would like 6pm work? Or later? Start throwing times out so we can figure it out for sure.

none of my friends wound up being available that early... WHOMP.

sorry for the no-show, but hopefully we can do it again. we started playing around with a meetup the weekend of the 4th, so maybe that would work out with the poster above.

we wound up going to af gallun later in the evening, which was not that thrilling, but had some exciting moments... we ran into three guys... was anyone from the board there?

hope you guys had fun, I need to make it to the next one!

Hey everybody. I've been in beertown for about 1.5 years now... I've been an urban explorer since I was about 6, since my dad shares the same interests. Before 9/11 man... we would get into the capital building in madison in the strangest places... there's an underground library that looks like it's out of ghostbusters, tons of spiderwebs, etc... and there are these spiral staircases on top of the 4th floor that go all the way up the dome. Fun times.

Anyway, here's a few photos from Milwaukee:

I have a bunch more, but currently my main system is dead, and I only have a laptop. Anyway... I am REALLY REALLY REALLY interested in meeting up this weekend for some good exploring. PM me!!

they're from just south of the third ward, south of the river, near some big grain elevators... it used to be near a big factory building with a lot of glass, that was long since abandoned. I have a ton of great pics from it. I drove past the area a few days ago, and that big 'church-like' building is now completley leveled.

Hopefully the ne3xt time yall have an event, both her and I can go as well!

Take care all and hope to meet more of you soon!

Sorry to get off a bit, but does anybody know anything about the Tower Automotive site on Capitol? It's been a few months now since it's been shut down, but on a recent scout I did it seemed there was mixed inhabitation surrounding the site. There's some sort of medical complex nestled to the side and there was a pretty fresh looking digger sitting on top of some debris next to a taller machine house on the Western edge. The Eastern edge seemed pretty vacated, though. It's hard to tell since there are plans in motion to turn it into a big mixed use residential/industrial/commercial complex. I hope a few buildings would be saved.

The city has very aggressively marketed the old Tower site, and subsequently more of it is inhabited than one would think. Private companies, in addition to that medical office you were mentioning, as well as a brand new Dept of Public Works HQ are there. Yikes.

If you're not picking up what I'm putting down, refer to the Haban/Clocktower Complex in Racine - looks abandoned as shit, but is actually filled to the gills...but still an awesome place.

Hey, so I vaguely remember a UE meeting at Ma Fischer's I was supposed to go last year but never went. I really haven't been exploring since the summer time as I've been pretty much held down by school. I got some free time now though so if anyone is up for meeting or scouting out some new places PM me.
