Those of you over 18.
Is it smart be be going places with minor children?
Should there be an age limit for members on UER and similar sites?
My policy is no one under 18 is allowed to hang out with me.
I also restrict minors from joining my forum. I cant stop them from viewing the site but since its more of an historic based site I dont see any problems with it being viewed.
The Germans killed the Jews and the Jews killed the Arabs and the Arabs killed the hostages and that is the news. Is it any wonder that the monkey's confused?

Should there be an age limit for members on UER and similar sites? Quite possibly; there are a few members that are mature beyond their age but with most the immaturity level reflects their inexperience and lack of social skills. But then again there are plenty of members that are "adults" but act like spoiled, immature children.
My policy is no one under 18 is allowed to hang out break laws with me.

As an aside, when I was in high school I skipped school with a couple of friends. We got busted, and on the report the police officer charged my friends, who were both 18, with contributing to the delinquency of a MINER. The thought about wearing headlamps into court, but thought better of it.

It was mentioned earlier that just because someone is over 18 that certainly does not mean that they are mature and are able to handle them selves in certain situations, I agree a 100% with that. But if it comes down to the law and being caught with a minor, I don't believe that's illegal. I mean to get caught in a place sure, but not driving around with one. Although I see ya'lls point of view with the no running around with minors, I think that is pretty immature of you to stereotype people by their age( although I do see the need, but it shouldn't be purely based on age). Not all of us are immature and unable to abide by 'rules' of whoever we are with. I know that I certainly have a lot of respect for people older than me (with the exception of a few, but we won't go there) and if I was to go UEing with someone over 18 it would be them completely in charge. That's just my 2cents.

But uhhh...to tell you the truth, the issue still does not weigh heavily in my mind. Fuck it, I know 12-year-olds who're more mature than a lot of 18-year-olds. On the other hand, I know just as many 12-year-olds who still need to be spanked.
I wish you could get like, maturity points registered to your driver's license.

As far as the site goes, it's impossible to keep minors out of a website unless you got wicked intense about it. Shit I was signing up for all kinds of stuff on the internet when I was 14 that made you fill in your birthdate to make sure you were 18. You just roll your birthyear back a couple. No questions asked.

Well I dont know that for sure. It does lend its self to aiding in law breaking activity.
So how long have you been mining? JK. I know you meant minor.
My concern is a child reading about going into something like a sanitary sewer and getting killed. One reason why I wont contribute to the database.
Some of the children in here are so young I can still see the afterbirth on their faces.
