|  | | | Okay, you must have misread what some people (including myself) were saying earlier: if you want to get level 3, one of the best ways to do it is to go out and meet fellow UEers in your area. However, we never said it was the only way. Seriously, read the original post Av made about this, rather than bitching about something that isn't even a problem!
Right now you can't vouch for yourself, but others that are level 3 can vouch for you. Sit tight, because if nobody has done that yet, you can vouch for yourself after a few weeks of that! Just state your case as to why you should be trusted. It probably doesn't need to be anything more complicated than "I visited these locations and I didn't break anything" or something like that. I dunno. You can probably praise yourself more glowingly than I can. Then, if the mod likes it, you will get level 3. And that decision-making power they wield is just something you're going to have to deal with as a member of this site.
So you don't need to kiss their ass, you just have to make sure not to kick it too often.

I've gotten several reports from various members of the site, indicating to me that Thieving Magpie frequently vandalizes sites with his friend White Trash. Although I have met him, it was a long time ago and we didn't really explore. I've heard the same about Lord Kahos and Lady Kahos. And wouldn't you know it, these are the people who are complaining the most.

Vandalizes sites. I would like to know who has said this about me. Im not gonna say anything about Magpie. Because of the fact that the only people that I have explored with on this site, would not dare to say that about me whatso ever. for i have not done that. Unless you mean opening a board, or crawling across a rooftop and a few bricks come falling down (stelco) into the building. I think if you can state My name out in the open about accusations towards me in a conversation that I would not have even taken part in if my name hadn't been mentioned then you state your evidence. You have already tried me and have found me guilty, without giving me a chance to state my case, that is totally fucked up. Why doesnt this person whoever it is that gave you this information stand up, and confront me. they wont because there isn't one person that would. because Whoever told you this does not have thier information correct.

And to agree with what Av said, I was trusted by one Silent Knight a few days ago. Have I met him or anyone on this board IRL? Nope, not even the other belleville explorer. Did that affect me? Nope, Im nice and pleasant (most of the time  ) in chat, Im an active poster of good posts, not crap and I have some LocDB stuff. Thats what got me a L3, not kissing ass. Being a nice, pleasant person and not stirring up shit amongst the board. Easy as that.

I think if people have been here for more than say... 3 or 6 months there should be a trial period where they are granted level 3 access, and then if it's found they're not level 3 worthy it should then be removed from them. This is the only truly fair way to do it without looking like you're just looking for eliteness and who you know.
And for the record, when a board removal is necessary, I do my best to make it look as close to how I found it as possible. Anyone I 've ever explored with can verify that. Actually it prolly wont count because it wasn't reported to Av through his invisible and anonymous fact-collectors.
And Av, if NoseyPuppy's such a good buddy of yours, why did it take him a year to sign up for an account? I know I have no right whatsoever to question the decisions made by anyone here, but you owning the largest UE site in the world and a friend (who's also level 3 ready after contributing nothing to the forum / db itself) taking a year to sign up? Come on.

In Phase C, any member who is still Level 2 and has been a registered user for more than 30 days will be allowed to request Level 3 access. They will provide references as they see fit, such as web sites or other people to contact to back up their story. Their moderator of choice (or a random moderator) will review the case and make a decision.
In Phase C, there will be an appeal process if the case is denied.

From the Mark II post that was stickied for the longest time and available from an assload of pages. This pretty clearly outlines that phase when you can apply for yourself and it distinctly lacks the "you need to meet people" line. In fact, it seems to suggest otherwise. I don't know where you picked up the "you need to meet people" thing. I really really thought we covered this earlier in this topic, besides all that stuff about your UE record (which frankly is off-topic and Av really shouldn't have mentioned it, but whatever).
Most likely, Lord Kahos, you didn't see that stuff about there being no need to meet people, because you were lost in the sea of people much like yourself doing nothing but bitching without knowing what the fuck is going on. So simmer down, read some of the threads on what's REALLY going down with the trusted system, before you throw a fit.
The question HAS been answered. Now shut up.
Unless you can find a REAL problem with the trusted system.

Saying that there will be an opportunity to ask for level 3 and answering the question that you don't have to meet people to get level 3 are two totally different things. The former simply states that the opportunity is there, but I have no idea what my chances are of getting it. The latter answers the question point blank, as was requested. So there is no problem.
I've read all the posts related to this, and I can honestly say that a real ANSWER was never given.
It's so over and fine now...but please stop ranting how it was covered already - they are all legitimate questions. Like I said before, try to see how this might upset those of us who have contributed and feel like we're getting the short end of the stick...

Ok, could you clarify then ? You yourself have admitted numerous times that you don't follow the "take only pictures, leave only footprints" credo. You have stated that you will take things, and don't have a problem with breaking something to get in if you feel. It's your own admissions, not a random accusation. You admitted it to a reporter yourself. So I'm really not clear on what it is you think you are so unfairly accused of.
Your own admissions mean you are a vandal/thief, so why do you think others would like you to be able to see places they find and care about ? And if you lied when you said you did those things, then you're just a liar, which again makes me ask, why do you think people should trust you ?

This is MY fault, and I know that. But going after people who I just explore with is unfair, childish and sad. Speaking of the article, I dont see how it's affected anything. No one I know has been busted in Hamilton.... not even close. Any damage done to sites since then was to sites I hadn't even mention, and in some cases had even been to. The only people it seems to have affected is the same 2 or 3 assholes that bring it up when I ask a legitimate question in sperate forum(s).
Maybe I'll start a new account, bend over, kiss some ass, get me some WICKED BAD camo and tabi...
