I believe that currently someone that already has level 3 must send out a request to have you "level three'd". I think that in the next stage of the phase, you will be able to send out your own request to the mods.

Thanks - the way people are talking about it, it sounded like it was a self-request thing...will keep eyes open for the self-request feature.

I have contributed several hundred pictures to the DB, have created 10s of locations most with good ratings, was never really warned for anything serious on the forum, have met mods and several other users of the forum, don't do any vandalism, but still I don't get the trusted status. Something isn't working out there.

Why some users are accepted within 2 hours while some others aren't after 3 days? Wasn't this supposed to be a fair system??

All information available is used to determine acceptance for level 3 status. If you're going to parade your resume out here CJB, at least be honest and mention your other sterling achievments such as; faking an exploration and stealing/cropping pics from an official site, screwing around at a construction site leading to another explorer from here getting arrested, posting pics of B&E... anything else to add ?

The determinations are being done as fairly as possible, weighing good and bad information.

And you're an angel Jester?
The fact is that Mods are already trusted, no questions asked. To keep their status they're going to "report" to Av about nothing but rumours. If you keep pointing out other people's shortcomings, people will likely not pay attention to your own.

I would like to invite the person who apparently knows for a fact my friends and I go into sites soley to destroy them to come out and admit it. They didn't have a problem telling Av, so why would they on the forum? And you know as a mod they're going to tell the truth, because it seems that blue star takes away your ability to lie to people. I also assume they'll have the evidence needed to back up such claims, and would post it, as I'd like to see it myself.

Seems your Phenomena is a Phenoma-NOT.

Kahos, any person that has explored with me will tell you flat out that yes the ethics I dish out here are the ethics I follow in my life, whether exploring or not. I've met 10 of the other mods on the site (Avatar-x, Crossfire, Freak, Krenta, Ninj, Drie, Macguyver, Servo, uem-TUX, and Noah Vale) and i'm sure most will say that from what they've seen, I am as advertised (as well as being cocky and borderline overconfident, seeming arrogant to those that don't know me, and weird because of my tabi and camo).

There isn't even a need to listen to rumours regarding your ethics, you gave your testimony to a newspaper yourself and have stated it numerous times that you will kick in doors if you deem it necessary and will take items from sites. What makes you feel you deserve to be trusted ?

Thank You. I think you've summed up in one paragraph what everyone's been trying to say.

Nobody's perfect...it's common knowledge around here that lots of people DO steal things and kick in doors...that's not the point. The issue is that we shouldn't necessarily be giving Level 3 access to people who will fullwell admit - in the newspaper I might add - that they do these things. It's not you specifically, Kahos, but you were the one who admitted those things...very publically. Maybe if you didn't, you'd be a Level 3 right now.....

To all of those folks out there who keep saying "go out and meet people, then you'll get level 3" this one is for you....
The predicament that Lord Kahos is in now is PRECISELY the reason that I choose not to run out and meet in person the people I've met online. Cause then one person says something, then tells someone, who takes it out of context, and says something to someone else, etc etc...I mean, I'm sure that many people have met many other nice people on here, but frankly, I'm not interested in all the drama.
There are so many stories of people meeting up together, and the shit hitting the fan - all the stories, tattletales, etc...by exploring with friends I already know, I can rest assured that they won't turn the tables on me. If exploring with friends who aren't on UER is not good enough to get level 3 acecss, that is another story...but until I have a good reason to meet up with other online friends from UER, I'm not going to break my neck trying.

dude, you're missing the point. If you're not fucking up, spray painting and breaking shit there's no need to be paranoid.

You seem more at fault the more you publicly worry that no one will trust you. I don't know any of the mods and am still level 2 but i'm not worried because I HAVEN'T done anything wrong.

The predicament Kahos is in, is that he himself can be quoted as saying he would break doors down and take things if he wanted to. That's not out of context. It's not a he said - she said, it's his statements.

And if you did meet people in person, I doubt if you explore with some ethics, that it will be taken out of context...

You're right - it likely wouldn't happen...however, if I don't meet people on UER than it won't happen!! This is not to say that I'm against meeting people from here, I just don't feel it's necessary to rush out and do it just for the sake of level 3. When there is a REASON to meet someone who I find to be honest and all of that, then I will...until then its a shitty answer for when people say "I'm worried about getting level 3"

And I'm not saying you have to meet anyone. If level 3 status is meaningless to you, then don't bother meeting anyone. It's just a suggestion for people who want level 3 status and are looking for a way to be accepted for it.

My ePenis is already a comfortable size, so I'm not fussed over what level some random web developer somewhere on the big wide Internet says I am.

As I mentioned before, the only thing that could concievably be frustrating is that I can't view addresses, but I could just bug somebody who is level 3 to tell me the address if it was really that big an issue anyways.

In the end, I win

Seriously guys, it's not worth eDrama over who gets what stars or levels. There are much better topics to argue over...like politics! :Þ

Just like pretty much anyone, you're spreading rumors , heard stuff that were never confirmed. The stealing pics is a true story, for which I already apologized many times , but the construction site is totally modified, totally wrong version of the story, as for the B&E pics, care to help me? I have no idea what you are talking about, I don't do B&E.

Also, this system looses ALOT of credibility to me when it is a widely known fact that one of the mods (I'll give more details if you ask, but you probably don't want this to be spread around do you!???) used an acetylen torch to open a metal door ( commonly known as 'Breaking&Entering').

Bah , I have my level 3 now, I should just shut up.

It's not intended to be an ePenis contest

Once phase C or 3 or whatever starts, you won't get to see anything at level 1 - so enjoy it while you can

In the end, I win

Not really, if by winning you mean getting access to this website...

Since you've only been here for about 4 days you should wait until you make some contributions before deciding what IS and IS NOT worth arguing over...

This is really not worth arguing over, Bratchny. Since I have over a year under my belt, is it okay when I say that things aren't worth arguing about? Is it?

But seriously, I really don't see what your problem is. If you are not fucking around, which I hope you aren't, getting level 3 should be a total cakewalk. It's not about elitism anymore than having a driver's licence is about elitism. Call it a UEer's licence. If you have a driver's licence, it doesn't make you better than anyone who doesn't. It just means you can drive a freaking car.

If you've got a level 3 account, it just means that the mods know that you're not the type who will reflect badly on this site by vandalizing, stealing, or knowingly causing sites to be shut down. It doesn't mean that everyone with level 2 and below does these things, and that's why you get the chance to be promoted.

It is seriously EASY AS PIE to get level 3. There should be NO ISSUE.

The only real beef I have with the whole thing is this idea that we need to meet people to get level three - that is the only way. Others have said this is not the case...as soon as that is answered it will be cleared up for me.
That last post just pissed me off because I understand and can relate to those who feel a bit slighted by the whole thing - surely you can even see that...

Neither have i DM. But i guess it's up to the upper echelon of UER. Doesn't matter that allot of level 2 members have contributed just as much, sometimes more, than some level 3's, yet we remain level 2 for reasons only known to the upper crust.
