Let it be known, I'm already done with my side of the story... so any conversation after my last post (before this one) does not involve me.

Servo, that also sounds like the majority of the moderators, minus two, or three that i trust. We don't judge people by the company they keep, unlike certain others here.

There are those here that are not able to get out and explore sites, myself being one of them, for a number of reasons. And i will not drag out all the old excuses, and other bull***t explantations. And i know you probably consider me one of the members you would rather do without, and if that's how you feel, then so be it. I personaly don't give a rat's *** about what anyone thinks of me. I might post things that might make no sense what-so-ever, and i might post anything in the galleries nobody cares for, but it is all i can manage for now.

Anyway, I fail to see the problem. Already, 235 UER members are at Level 3 status. Included in that list are some of the best people we have -- the people who go the extra mile to help, to contribute, to make this site great.

So someone manages to "go the extra mile" in under 5 hours?

And why all this drama over the new system? It's not even fully in place yet - give it some time.

Frankly, you have no right to question the decisions made by the mods about who is trusted and who is not.

But since nothing else would shut you up: NoseyPuppy is a RL friend of mine who I've known for almost a year, and have spent a lot of time with. Just because he signed up today doesn't mean our friendship started today.

I disagree. What about when a member of this community has been found to steal and vandalize and they admit it? Yet, they are still marked as trusted by a mod? To me, that says that the mod participates in the behavior and should not be trusted themselves.

Also, it gets to this point:

If this is supposed to be a system where vandals and thieves are kept out but mods trust them, why should anyone here contribute anything at all to the UER Database? I mean, it is only going to be used as a tool (the Database) for those here that are trusted enough to steal and vandalize.

This situation and the resulting action have already been outlined and discussed in a prior thread.

WTF indeed.

As the resident newb, I can't even tell what I'm missing being whatever level I am...only thing I've noticed is that I can't see full addresses, only cities.

Once you have filled the recommendation form , do you get a reply? for example 'declined-refused' or ' accepted' , or you simply never receive anything if you are refused ? just like after a job interview?

I find pretty weird that 2 other users I have spoken to were Level 3 within 2 hours of filling the recommendation form, and 3 days after having done mine, I haven't received any replies ,and neither I am Level3. I have contributed several hundred pictures to the DB, have created 10s of locations most with good ratings, was never really warned for anything serious on the forum, have met mods and several other users of the forum, don't do any vandalism, but still I don't get the trusted status. Something isn't working out there.

Why some users are accepted within 2 hours while some others aren't after 3 days? Wasn't this supposed to be a fair system??

ummm, i dont think i am, or at least the last time i asked i wasnt.

also, cjb, it took me 3 days to be granted lev 3. and you know what. i dont care. i still dont. this is not a insult to av or uer. i love uer. av seems cool too, but uer isnt my holy grail. uer is fun to cruise and meet people (which you can still do no matter what level you are) but it doesnt prevent you from exploring in real life, which is what you should be doing instead of bitching about not being level 3 when you want to be.

and david e, before you start making generalizations about people who may or may not have stolen or vandalized, maybe you should stop armchair exploring and get out and do somthing. have you been personally hurt by this person or persons, i doubt it. and dont use the excuse that it hurts the community cause i can think of a dozen different things that could potentially hurt the community which have nothing to do with the 2 things you mentioned. i dont intend this to be flameing. im sorry if you take it this way. but im so sick of people bitching about the trusted system and who is trusted, remember uer before the system... well nothings changed. why is everyone acting like if your not level 3 your not an explorer. and as far as the stealing/vandalizing thing if your talking about mike d and the rest of the mass crew, get over it. you have no right to comment on something you no nothing about. if your not talking bout mike or the mass crew ... well.... get over it anyway. you probably dont know anything about it either way, instead of hearsay youve piked up during your armchair excursions.

All Level3 potentials will receive a message whether they are accepted or denied. If you have not yet received a message, it means your application is still in the processing queue.

Right now, there are 13 applications in the queue. The mods and I are still working on a document, a guideline of how we're going to do this thing.

No, Deggi5 does not welcome you. Deggi5 told Ninj he wasn't wanted. Deggi5 keeps out good explorers who are great people, like Salt and countless others. If you want a really discriminatory system, go to Deggi5.

Now, stop whining and bitching. There haven't even been any restrictions put into place yet, we are still only a week into the new trusted system.

I believe that currently someone that already has level 3 must send out a request to have you "level three'd". I think that in the next stage of the phase, you will be able to send out your own request to the mods.
