wasn't that Mitsu 4cylinder a 2.6L? or something like that?

I think it was. Also ended up in the 80's Mazda Pickups. The first Caravans had a really bad Mitsubitchi engine. I thought it was a 6, but was likely the engine you are talking about.

Their early V6 2.8? was really bad, then it became the less bad 3.0. I think that's how it evolved. (Don't have time to go Wiki right now)

Read somewhere they had the largest engine recall in automotive history.

I wonder who makes or made the largest 4 cylinder car or small truck engine. I think Toyota topped out with a 2.7 in their Tacoma pickup a few years ago.

I know there's a marine version of the GM Iron Duke that's bored out to a 3.0, but other than some diesel stuff I can't think of anything.

that Lumina would rot and be gone so fast up here... our winters are brutal on machinery.

i can't believe someone would just SCRAP a 76 Gran Fury!!! It's unheard of!

that Fiat... neat, but just because its rare (odd!) doesn't mean it's a classic. (LOL)

That's a lot of boring to get 500cc more, must be a very thick head. I read somewhere that engine was made by John Deere. Would be fun to tell people your car has a tractor engine.

Donovan were the people that offered a bored and stroked 2.5L GM engine. Most of the time, it was in circle track (Midget?) applications. One of the guys in the car club I'm in had a Donovan 2.5L in an 87 Fiero... it was about 3L in displacement and would make that Fiero MOVE!

^ Impressive. I still has a Jones Soda for a Fiero.

This Cults car that needs to make a hasty exit excites me for the 5 speed and sexy interior. Not sure if they made many with the Manuel trans.

They exist in the states... Maybe just '94 and '95? I see them once in a while on ebay. When I say once in a while, I think I've seen two in 10 years.

I had a '94 Grand Cherokee 5 speed, 6 cylinder. Liked it a lot, but it wouldn't track straight after a high end 4 wheel alignment, and it hopped badly in reverse sometimes. No sign of having been in an accident. The previous owner had an inch and half of receipts, I didn't want to add more than the thousand+ I'd put into brakes, alignment, tires...

The local dealer refused to believe I had a 5 speed GC. He said they don't exist.
It was imported from New Brunswick, so maybe some dude builds them there.

I don't think they ever tracked right... Both of my ZJ's were all over the place.
