Probably... but at that age, even with low mileage, the brake pads were probably separating and the ball joint boots were probably cracked to hell.

I'd do terrible things to avoid it. '80s-vintage Chryslers were horrible abominations. My mom had an '81 LeBaron and an '85 Fifth Avenue. She traded in the LeBaron when the door fell off. On the highway. At speed.

I never said any of my Daytonas/Lasers I owned were good! My mom's Camaro lost a door while parked.

That went for only $500... I'm not a J body fan, but I'm a turbo/hatch/manual fan no matter what it is. That would've been fun to mess around with. And being from NM, it was probably rust free.

I finally sold the 78 I had, for a rubbish 700 dollars delivered, But the guy upon looking at it found out it wouldn't get into fifth gear so I took a decent amount off the price.
