I will be putting a 3.3 svx engine in one of my vanagons when I get the time, they sound sweet with exhausts!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the engine the worst/most unreliable part of the SVX?
(Apart from the fact that it only came with an automatic transmission.)

no, the price tag was the most undesirable part of the SVX... it was terribly overpriced.
Subaru also offered an FWD version of the SVX... wasn't enough to save the car.

My dad had a pearl white aw svx with a black roof, man that was a pretty damn good car! The transmission was the problem, most failed quite early but you can swap in a 5 speed pretty simple (Subaru's are like Lego's).

I think this was the last time. But yeah.
And yeah, the movie was pretty bad. Really didn't carry on the spirit of the originals.
