Wow! I never realized the inboard engines on the 747 were larger

That engine is the Trent 1000, which Rolls Royce developed for the Boeing 787. The 747 in that picture is the company's testbed which they have been testing the engine on.

That looks like a great swimmin' hole. I love that sort of landscape.

I can't tell if those pictures make me think of the Hill Country or West Texas. Looks like fun, once the snow is over. (snow again? makes me think I've died and gone to Tulsa!)

If I could say it in words, I wouldn't need to photograph.

What park is that? I'm getting pretty bored with the MTB trails here in Dallas.

Cleburne State Park. I never knew so much awesomeness was so close to home.
It was fun, but hot. We walked the entire walking trail and then half the bike trail and climbed down and back up the damn. (The water was low enough.. and yes, those are some awesome looking swimming holes! The water was so clear, my kids were drinking it!) by the time we made our way to the main road, the kids couldn't go on. We had walked over 5 miles! I walked the rest of the way on my own, leaving my husband with the kids at the park area, all the way back to camp to get our car to pick them up. That felt like another 2 miles easy. The vultures were starting to follow me... which leads me to my next photo of the day:

and once back to camp after an awesome night of making s'mores and listening to the kids play, we went to sleep in 2 tents and woke up to a freezing cold wet puddle in our tent and freezing rain leaking in! We had to pack up in the freezing rain and headed home at about 4:30am. But we stopped to eat at Waffle House. It was a blast.
