Have you ever seen a chicken or any other animal's head become detached from its body? The body will run around/move for several minutes before finally keeling over. Its not out of the question the nailed-on-the-wall-cat clawed at its own face.

I also saw someone a human took an ice pick (or maybe a big nail?) to the eye, had it lodged in his brain, and still lived with full motor functions.

WTF is it with racoons and being dead? Kodak has a ton.. I've seen them dead like everywhere I have been lately and I even watched one run across the street and get devastated by the back tire of an Suv..

He doesn't get to stay out all the time as He is a holy terror to the dogs, and he gets in the cupboards and pulls everything out looking for thimgs to eat and play with, He will go into pockets and pull out money and car keys, and then run off with them.

He lives most of the time in a very large enclosure, it can get to smellin' funky if I get to lazy.

I disagree, I think It's dog. The canine's are longer and more curved and they cross the base of the mandible, plus the zygomatic arch (curvy outside edge of the eye bone) seems narrower, and the parietal bone (the little mohawk ridge on the back of the skull) looks significantly more pronounced as it would be on a canine skull.

Can't say for certain, but I vote dog.

So glad that photo makes people happy, He's really quite a little ham, He and that dog (Biddle) are the best of friends. Although she gets tired of having her ass kicked after about 40 minutes.

I came across two unfortunate critters while a friend and I were walking to an abandoned house. The dead opossum was kind of ironic because just last week I had this little guy roaming around in my kitchen. He is now living a happy life at a wildlife rehab place. With one less eye. (I think one of my cats helped him with that!)



So I was kind of sad when I found this guy.....

I was going through an abandoned house with some friends who I had never brought with me before. In the living room was the skelleton of a raccoon, I think. I also found a deflated cat in the closet. The really sick part is learning how morbid/terrible my friends were. they were fascinated more by these dead things than the place itself, fair enough. After a bit we leave and are driving back to our town and my one friend says "hey, check this out!" From her pocket is the Jaw bone of the skelleton we found in the living room. While I was wandering around she fucking pried the jaw off and took it with her. needless to say I was not a happy camper the rest of the way home. Never took her with me again. blech!
