| | | No details, but I was charged with Burglary. Later reduced to trespassing and I had some probation, community service, fines, etc... Few days in jail while waiting.

| | | Active, but nothing critical. Technically Burglary is just entering a building fit for human habitation. So, yes, just entering a building can get you a felony. I doubt a felony would stick unless you were stealing, smashing, or otherwise being a jack ass though.

| | | I got the crap beaten out of me for trespassing into a drunkards property. He grabbed me by the neck, slammed my head into his car, held me in a lock, threatened to "Break your mother f#cking neck!!" Yeah, the cops got involved and stuff, but not anything more happened after I ran home and called the cops. Alls I did, was talk to the guy, and he broke out in anger and attacked me. Turns out, because the law is so bad, he could have sewed me for talking to him on his property unwanted. Gah. But no, not arrested. Just in a situation with the cops and a redneck. | | | Yeah been arrested a couple times, not fun at all. They don't really search your wallet that well usually so I have been able to hide a handcuff key in it. Comes in handy. But yeah more info later.
Blessed be the pessimist, for he packs extra ammo. I can't go to work today. The voices told me to stay home and clean the guns, the penguins are coming. The way to a man's heart is with a broadsword. |

| | | I have been, but it wasn't a typical arrest, because I already had a warrant out and they went easy on me for turning myself in. Didn't spend a second in an actual jail cell. Another time, though, I got pulled over by a cop and ordered out of my car at gunpoint. It was because of a little road rage incident. A guy was tailgaiting me, I brake-checked him a couple times and flipped him a big one, and he called the cops and told them I had a gun (I found out later). So, they came wizzing along, pulled me over, and handcuffed me at gunpoint on the side of a busy highway where everyone and their brother knows me. They read me my rights, and put me in the back of the car. Eventually, after searching my car and listening to my side of the story (and the other guy not answering his cell phone when they tried to call hm back), they realizd I didn't have any fucking gun. So, they let me go. Never been so scared in my life, though. [last edit 2/11/2005 8:08 AM by White Rabbit - edited 2 times]

I call bullshit. One of the first things any cop will do is take your personal effects from you. And even if they didn't, good luck getting your wallet out of your back pocket, opened, and take out the key all while sitting in the back seat of a cruiser.

I'm guessing they patted him down for a gun before hand. I have also been put in the back of a squad car without having everything removed from my pockets, then released. Never for something that serious, but they don't always remove everything unless they are arresting you. Even then they sometimes miss things which is why they search you again at the detention center. *edit* Oh, sorry, i though you were reffering to white rabbits story for some reason. Still, they usually don't take everything. I wonder what they would do upon finding a hand-cuff key, though. At some point along the way your wallet will be entirely dismantled and they will find it. | | | Got arrested for sitting on some church steps once. Talk about an adrenaline rush. A few hours in a nasty lock-up in downtown Buffalo, 350 bucks for a lawyer, and a dismissal a coupla months later. (ACD, for those familiar)

| | | I wasn't exactly arrested, but I had a "run-in" with the local police a couple years ago. It's a great story to tell live, doesn't translate so well to text, so if I'm ever sharing a beer with anybody here, just ask me. I will say that it involves a LOT of novocaine, people thinking I'm a terrorist, and me drooling on a cop car profusely.

| | | ...handcuffs keys are just gonna get you even more screwed if you use them....they run your name before they arrest you most of the time. When i was arrested they didn't confiscate anything out of my pockets though. I had a description out on me once for UEing.....I've been chased twice by the cops at UE sites.... I got away both times, but one of the times they were waiting for me when i got back to my car......they let me explain my story though so i didn't get arrested... most of the time if you just tell them about UE they'll let you go.....UE is starting to be a very popular thing....it's going to be bad whenever kids who aren't up to any good hear about it and start using it as an excuse..... ...when they're running out of a store with a television in their hands...."i'm serious officer...i'm an urban explorer......i brought this television with me so i could .....monitor stuff......"

| | | I was arrested at school when I was 13. After taking every item I had on me - a few scraps of paper in my pocket, 2 dollars for lunch, a bracelet, necklace and ring - they brought me upstairs to my locker, took every single thing out of it and individually searched every folder notebook and textbook, looking for drugs they thought I had. After finding nothing they arrested me for distribution anyway and I spent the day in a jail cell. Getting all my shit back was such a process. My parents and I had to fill out books full of paperwork. They wouldn't give me the scraps of paper back, and they couldn't find the necklace. They insisted they must have not taken it. Some cops will take everything, maybe others won't. But that's my story.

| | | I think the whole process of arresting UErs is complete bullshit, I think since we are up to no harm, then they should just tell us to leave and leave it at that...but the U.S. legal system is RARELY on your side...unless you have a bag of money for a lawyer.

| | | some prescription fraud charges, which were really unfair considering my doctor(who was corrupt) didnt get in trouble at all but i did, also B&E/malicious dest of prop/burgtools, unfortunatly these charges were all 2 years old, i ended up gettin 1 year 5 months to serve i also have a open case but im almost certain i wont see any time for that or my lawyer is anyway jail was a intense experience, i dont recommend it, however if you ever find yourself their try to make the best of it, i learned a ton and met alot of good people, also alot of scumbags but you just have to learn how to deal with it.
