My bad; didn't see the arms, not much contrast. Pretty cool... but the ages won't be kind to it.
Yup. Cell phone pic. Believe it or not, it is already over 100yrs old...

It's doing well... I have pics of a marble one in Reading PA. It's a maiden done by a famous French artist about 100 years ago. It's beautiful, I feel sorry for it; should be in a museum. Someone was really bereaved.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I oopsidaisily posted cemetery pics before elsewhere, but I just found this thread. Needless to say, I'm stoked I've found it. Here are some from last year - a legally abandoned PNW graveyard. (Legally abandoned = no caretaker. The dude responsible here can't stay out of prison.) This place was very intense to visit; it's sad as hell that families can't afford to move their loved ones out.

Poor John. His resting place abandoned, crushed in and flooded.
His grave was one of many like that, unfortunately. I did see damselfly nymphs in the water (they are really neat), but I did not see any human remains. Though naturally, I looked.

Thanks, aren't they neat? It's a lichen! This was the first time I noticed them. (January 2018 was when I went to that cemetery.) I say that because, living in the PNW, I had been around them before. I notice them in my own neighborhood now. They're everywhere out here and I hadn't even realized it.

These are from my trip to Transylvania, specifically this gravesite was in Bistrita and Saganta, near Ukraine. A great mix of old school Orthodox and cold war err..coldness!
