  in this area of the st lawrence where navigation was perilous during the era of sailing shits. Many ship sinkings happened ... i cant make out the next somthing about ile beauharnois , ile aux coudres and ile elephant

  ...many shipwrecks left some "gouvenergilon"?? in 1652 at L'ile au coudes another in 1960 At Baie st-paul the wreck of de la providence in 1719 .the wreck of l'elephant in 1729 and finally the wreck of the beauharnois in 1750 on these "raysures"?? that dominate "d'ioe"??

...on these "battures" that we dominate from here. "Battures" is the area of the shore that appears when the tide is low.
